after Tim died and they wouldnt let me be with him, i started eating and got to 39 1/2 stone - then in May drs said you got about 6 weeks if you really wanna join your son, I looked at Mrs C and realised I couldnt be without her

Last week when in hospital weighed in at a healthy (for me) 26 1/2 stone.

But Im still a cute cuddly & curvacious Creature

Thanks for the support itís appreciated.
We played "Need your love so bad" as the last song of the first set, I managed to surprise Lois for the first time in over 30 years together. I played the first bar OK but (Youíll laugh) I couldnít remember the second bar ! So I played summat in A minor and carried on from there. Remember the golden rule I was once advised ďIf you play the wrong note, play it three timesĒ
I ploughed on and got to the end of the intro. As Tim came in on vocals I looked up to see the whole of the dance floor packed with couples dancing.
Iíve never made Lois cry before.

It was a bloody good night.

I took one of my bikes in for it's MOT today, I had only done 30 miles on it all year, it worked out at over £2 per mile just for road tax..

I can't keep four bikes going I've got to sell at least two of them this year.

John.

... hibernating again! Woke up this morning, heard the rain and wind, went back to sleep. Managed to do that 3 times till I needed a cuppa and....

If I'd had a onesie I would have worn it today - as it was I just didn't bother to get out of my PJs.

sorry BG but when you get to a certain age you have to expect to be woken up by the wind, and that wet feeling isn't rain..

Knowing what engine is in the trike might help us to help you,

The starter solenoid or key switch may be FUBAR`d, or depending on the type of starter motor the bendix (helix) which throws the starter gear into place may be sticking. I 1st switch out the solenoid, or clean up the contacts on it.

Bridging the starter solenoid just connects the battery across the starter motor, there is no fuse involved and you don't even need an ignition key..

you need 12v at the ignition switch and to trace that you really need a circuit diagram for the bike that the trike is based on..

It could be something as simple as a dirty switch contact, a loose wire or even a blown fuse.

As Peirre says we can help if you give us some information, tell us what the bike is, do you have a meter to check voltages and what were you doing just before it went wrong..

Fill in the user CP up there on the left in case you are just around the corner from one of us..

John.

We have a 1970 phoenix trike with a type 1 VW beetle engine, only bought it last week it needs a full overhaul so hence the swearing from neil in the garage trying to trace the wiring loom and referring to a wiring diagram, new plugs, coil, ht leads and ignition ordered and on way hahaha
