The lad who asked me the question isn't really aware that he might as well be asking for rocking horse shit, but I promised I'd ask - and a promise is a promise.

Dont mean to sound funny but if thats the case is he really the right guy for the job, restoring vincents requires pretty indepth knowledge of the bikes.

harry 07-03-2011 05:28 PM

Can't see the problem.

The number of people I've met who used to own one or their father had one,
There must be thousands of the things out there. ;)

PeteHaddock 07-03-2011 05:36 PM

haha yep, must be more black shadows in sheds than bicycles in bejjing

I think there is an X75 parked in the back of the workshop behind the Van Veen OCR1000 and the big pile of Fantic 50 choppers

dracken1 08-03-2011 06:23 AM

We kept tripping over this, untill we used it to prop up a table, as for vincents...never heard of them..

Bloke up our Street does actually have one in his shed... needs full restoration but does run and from what i can see , is complete..its got a Stieb sidecar attached to it but that just unbolts, he was a friend of my dear old dad and has had it years.. i have often tried to buy it off him but he is insistant that he will not let it go for less that 2 grand... which to me seems a lot of money....he still has the box that it came in.;);)
