Mickey Rourke rides a nice FXR in Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man, great opening riding scene as well, found a full 6 min version on You Tube.

Found it best to either let it play thru on it's own, or pause it at the beginning and let it fully load ors it keeps stopping to re-do something.
Unless that's just my steam powered fucking computer...

shaggy696969 01-05-2007 09:39 PM

harley davidson and the marlboro man is a classic eighties film in every way! I love it ... Mimcky Rourke also rides what I can only guess is a harley in rumble fish. the only decent film nicolas cage was in.

charleyboy 02-05-2007 08:58 AM

Few years ago there was a US builder selling copies of that FXR - don't know if they still are- but it's a good looking thing.

Was he the one in Miami Vice with the black dude?

If so I can see why.

gothtec 02-05-2007 09:42 AM

On the same line, with connect with a recent competition I posted a couple of weeks ago, I still cant think of anythin above The great escape as best motorcycle moment...

Except - Resident Evil Apocalispe

Harley + Church Window + Central Isle + wheel spin + Twating zombie with bike + blowing up bike = One feking awesome moment.... :D :D

johnr 02-05-2007 10:45 AM

bikes in films

well how about a prominent bike featured in an oscar winning british film starring a classic british character actor?
the film had a great chase sequence and the bike had more gadgets than james bonds aston. AND it was a brit bike!

yes, what about wallace and gromits sidecar outfit? :D

Simon B 02-05-2007 12:06 PM

Well cant find any pics from the fil ''The Loveless'' but loved all the bikes
And gotta agree with the opener from HD & the marlbro man'' one of the best biker movie openers of all time along with easyrider

HiViz 02-05-2007 01:16 PM

George Roper's 1933 Brough Superior outfit in 'George & Mildred'.

devon-tony 02-05-2007 02:29 PM

the combination in "on the buses" ?? LOL

LOL street hawk, always made me laugh, one of the shots for publicity etc had the sidestand down while supposedly doing a big jump!!

Parky 02-05-2007 03:21 PM

OK Mavericks bike in Top Gun, now i was under the impression that it is a GpZ900, but someone told me that it is really an early american CBR600 cos Tom Cruise is such a short arse.

Oh and then there is my old Bandit that will be in this film aparently due out this summer Freebird, If anyone remembers the low budget film company that was looking around bike clubs in the Wales/Hay on Wye area for extras a year last sept.

johnr 02-05-2007 04:56 PM
