SAGA car insurance.

Don't laugh at my SAGA car insurance.
You have no idea about the ignomy of receiving weekly junk mail for over 50 years of age.
You may well laugh but it will come to you some day.......

After SAGA gave me silly quotes fir my car insurance for years, last year they came up with a very good deal for my car including top notch breakdown cover.
However in terms of customer service its been like dealing with the Crankies looking after my data and my insurance.

How dim can an organisation be ffs?
I'm not so much angry as incredulous that they could get my info so badly wrong.
Well its saved me from getting anymore insurance of any kind through them and I will not be obtaining a quote from them either.

So just a heads up to the over 50's on the forum and I know there are lots and lots,
Just don't bother with SAGA.

'Er, or me, not sure which, got a SAGA magazine subscription some time ago, none of us ever paid for it, so I can only assume, that my mate set us up with it before he passed away, last year! It's the sort of trick he got up to! He put my name on the ChumbaWumba fan club website years ago, for ages I got a load of leftist/Gay rights activist crap coming through the door! Bastard so he was for doing things like that! Anyway Back to Saga...you tried cancelling a subscription with them? Worse than Readers Digest! They talk to you like you've lost your marbles and got Alzheimers! We've still not mangaed to get the fucking thing cancelled. What's worse, the missus is beginning thnk the mag aint too bad!

No ooooooooooo......... You'll be going on cruises for pensioners and going to tea dances.
Nah probably not.

With my car insurance, SAGA invited me via a leaflet in the post to join some premium group thing they run, so I had to sign up online to see more of what it was about.
That's when it got messy. SAGA online did not recognise my email address even though it was the one I used to join and its the one I used to check and get copies of my new ins docs. So I thought no bother I'll sign in under another email address I use and create a new login for this new scheme. But it would not accept that either. So just to confirm I was genuine it asked me to verify my policy number, which I entered maybe 6 times for saga to say sorry we do not recognise that policy number, go away.

So it appears that they lost my data in the way of my email address and my policy.
I then went down a 2 1/2 month complaint fiasco akin to beating myself with a old cucumber over the head.
End result = nothing
SAGA are muppets. I still have no idea how or why they lost my data.
Imagine phoning up when you've had a shunt for them to say sorry we have no record of that policy number?

As long as you aren't paying for it, you can always do what I do with junk mail and bin it......

harry 26-06-2018 06:41 PM

Junk mail I just stick it in their envelope and post it back to them

I used to get a load of those foreign lottery mail shots, even a couple from as far away as Australia. I would take the post reply envelope and fill it with the free menus that come through the door, after a while I stopped getting them......:D

Well they wont be now, Ive basically told them that my data is not safe in their hands and therefore I will not take out insurance with them again.
Simple solution to a problem they haven't acknowledged or will not?
Anyway .... bye SAGA

They started sending my shite in my mid 40s!
Almost as bad as Britannia Music.
I think Harry's idea sounds good:)

Friar Tuck 29-06-2018 04:31 AM

Takes a while and doesn't always work but the sense of satisfaction and the reduction of crap in your waste bins helps in the end. Imagine sitting in an office somwhere opening an envelope and expecting an order and finding your own bumf and a wad of takeaway menus.......:D

harry 29-06-2018 08:58 PM

If you put too much in there they will guess what you've done and not open it.

When I was on the AA I used to send them membership application forms :D

We often wonder what happened to saving paper waste and saving trees in rainforests. Guess there wasn't enough money in that.

There are loads of songs that people din't understand what was meant, loved the reggae because they were very explicit but the people who liked to censor things didn't understand the patois so they leaked into the real world.....

Same with quite a few music hits of the 60s, 70s and 80s.
Led Zeppelin I'm thinking of in particular. But a lot of those bands
were fans of Alastair Crowley the poisonous git.
But then again movies are the same with clear messages for ppl who have their eyes open.

I really like it when stuff leaks out and the establishment doesn't even understand what is being said, as sort of Cockney Rhyming slang of the media.......

I have always believed and pushed the most fundamental of human rights and that is the right to know. For everyone to know and to know about everything. Throughout history the people have never had the right to know, but nowadays the people know more than ever. After all this is the age of enlightenment? :)
The ptb do not want us knowing certain things, so the information gets spread by other means. The internet is very much a double edged sword, it works for us and against us.

Grumpy Dave 11-08-2018 09:17 PM

But what if the people spreading the conspiracies are actually the Government?
So we will never know whether its all crap or all real or anything between.

The CIA and MI6 at GCHQ have teams and huge financial budgets to spread lies and disinformation. Came out during the Snowden leakage. MI6 has teams of trolls and shills spreading disinformation online. They don't want anyone to know the truth on any major issue conspiracy or otherwise.
You are your own best judge at the end of the day, you find your own truths or keep an open mind.
But its all a matter of how far are you personally prepared to go down the rabbit hole.
If people can imagine the most crazy situation they can think of, then the truth is probably a whole lot more crazy than that.
There are people at the top who believe that we "the masses" are too stupid to know much about anything.

The one thing people do know is when they are being lied to and bullshitted in the media and by the gumbymint. If they told the truth about any major situation in the news then people wouldn't try and work out what the real story is. Its a natural human response to try and find logical reasons when people feel that what they are being told is not the truth.
The newspaper public comment sections are far more interesting than the news article BS. They show how much people don't swallow.

HOS 11-08-2018 11:09 PM

Bob Marley was a very special guy. He not only knew a lot but he wanted to share that knowledge with others out of love for them. He knew about the Zionist agenda. But they will not have anyone speaking the truth.

HOS 11-08-2018 11:29 PM

Grumpy Dave, for me the quest for knowledge is a lifetime mission started aged 11 and a became a insatiable hunger for knowledge/the truth.
It was I feel a reaction to experiences I had from about 5 years old.
I'm not unique in those experiences but they are pretty rare and very profound spiritual experiences.
I am not special or better than anyone else, or more intelligent or more educated, I'm just another face in the crowd on my own personal path.
On the contrary I can be a right thick twat at times or regularly.
I am not from the privileged class or a wealthy background, what I've had in life I've worked for and earned it.

But from the age of 5 I've always known this world/reality/western life style/program, is BS. We only interact with a small part of our whole world.
I hope that makes sense. As I said I don't do fear. Also I didn't sign up to any religion or secret societies. I am not atheist either, I am gnostic I suppose. But I want my sight to stay clear without any influence for tainting from religion or any ancient decrepit clubs.

Friar Tuck 12-08-2018 07:19 AM

Bet you are still getting SAGA bumph though....
