Groan! clutch woes!
All working fine with the Trident T160 bobber..............apart from clutch drag, which is preventing me getting it out of first, doesn't feel draggy when kicked over with the clutch in, but no adjustment will stop it, and i am now certain that there is enough overall movement in the clutch mechanism to disengage properly.

So i am now thinking its down to either a worn plate causing to much spring tension, or the plate is badly warped causing the drag, anyway its a strip down to have a look, and already found one bodge.......primary chain tensioner bolt has been striped out and now has just a captive bolt welded to a small flat plate with a coach bolt to act on the tensioner, not terrible but i now know why i couldn't cure the leak from the tensioner bolt.

It's amazing what you find out of sight, this type bodgery is usually the worst type of bodgery....

After spending another 180 on Hyde clutch plate, self centering pull rod and an angular load bearing for the clutch, and spending a day in the workshop with a dial gauge getting the clutch to release evenly and checking for run out, i now have a clutch that doesn't drag....still a pig to find neutral, but its not down to drag.

Just got to order a helmet now before i can take it for a couple of test runs so i can take it for an MOT.

Other than that it runs well.

Any recomendations for a low profile open face helmet that doesn't cost silly money?
