View Full Version : Waiting...

Here I am, at home for a change - I'm waiting for the inspector to come and have a look at my bike after the crash back in April.
Should have been last Wednesday - even booked time off work and everything! Then got a call on Tuesday to say the inspection hadn't been booked  - Norwich screw-you then had the cheek to tell me to phone another inspector myself and arrange a new time (I'm not even their customer FFS!!!).
I know what the bike's worth, how much it will cost to repair (officially) and have loads of photos to show the bike in very good nick!
Here's hoping for what I'll get eh? plus cost of new helmet and four months worth of inconvenience not having the bike on the road (and as SE MAG Rep, that is serious inconvenience!!). Once this is over with, I can start work on getting the bike back on the road (bent forks, tank and front end damage)!!!
The age old situation mate of paying your money up-front and on time vs waiting forever to get something back.
You never get compensated for the grief of it all do you

well, two hours later, I'm at work... he'd been and gone half an hour after I'd posted, nice trawl through traffic and I still got the paper out on time!!!
Luckily, I've got most of the stuff I need to rebuild the bike (forks off GT550, tank off Spectre 750, front guard off GSXR750 rear sleekbob from't shop down the road + the offer of a nose fairing off an XT (been waiting for one of those for ages).
Next stop, new clocks and I'm going to have a go at making a seat - time to dig out the old AWoLs!! Unless there's been a feature in 100%?
Pat, do you want a feature about two very different GT750's (mine and Mrs R's) when mine's done?
