info req`d
I have one of Halfords fines digital speedos on the trike, however upon checking why its suddenly packed up, i checked the probe thats fixed next to the wheel and found that at some point its come into contact with the magnet on the wheel damaging it, rendering it useless, I need to replace the probe, I know I could just replace the whole speedo setup with a new one, but because I extended the twin wires and ran them along some difficult places of the frame I`m hoping to just be able to replace the probe at the back wheel, (a wire free speedo isn`t an option due to the range between the pickup and speedo).
BUT where can I get a replacement probe?
(its 8mm dia x 30mm long and has 2 wires)

those are the ones mate, the 1 I need is approx 8mm dia x 30mm long and has 2 wires and is held in place on a sml toothed adjuster which in turn is part of jubilee clip affair.
I can get a newpushbike speedo for under a fiver, or one of those sigma ones for motorbikes BUT I`d have to spend half a day feeding the wiring through the framework, and the odometer will be set at zero. and this is my last option

Why not just put a connector in the wires?

then you can always unplug and remove the sender unit if you need to strip the front end.

I`ll consider doing that when I repair/fix it, as El_Mick seems to have got exactly what I need. I might even move it from the N/S rear wheel to the front 1

speedo..............Who needs a speedo??
