Anyone ever go to any of the bike do's there? Used to love em, especially the winter ones when everyone would crash out on the dance floors cause of the snow outside and the landlord (phil and june at the Moore arms) would do bacon butties and loads of tea in the morning. I only lived 20 minutes away but always used to stay for the weekend as i had mates live there etc. Damn i miss those days, i used to be the only skinhead on a bike at a bike rally and it used to be a great talkin point.
The Moore arms is just a house now which is a shame. Not sure about the Drum and Monkey cause i aint been past there for ages. Maybe take a look when i next get over to see parents etc. :D
Sorry, just remembering great old times. Cheers Jonnyfp, its you who reminded me :D Guess its all to easy to forget the good times and dwell on the bad in hand so to speak. About time i pulled me finger out and got to a few more do's again. The big rallies never really interested me though so hopefully gonna have a stab this year at getting out and about again. :D

Hahahahahahahaha, The Vaults. My mate collapsed in there of alcoholic poisining. We eventually got an ambulance for him and they rushed him off to Shrewsbury hospital. We missed our lift and had to walk all the way back to feckin Welshpool. I got home just in time to get changed and go to feckin work. My god i must have looked a state :D

I went to the Drum and Monkey once for a MAG do in 1989, cracking place. We had to pitch our tents on the hill side and try not to slide out during the night. :D

Hahahahahahahaha! Just outside the Drum and Monkey they had a wall made out of breeze blokes. I had a gt250 at the time and was chatting to some mates sat on me bike which was on its centre stand. The stand snapped and the bike fell over backwards with me on it. It jammed me between the wall and the bike. Tokk 4 blokes to get me unstuck. Managed to save me pint though :D

Got to be going back 15 years I guess. Like I mentioned on another thread. My ex is Del Stevens the D.J. When his partner Andy King moved up there we used to go and do a show every other Saturday night. Was a blinding place!
