Not sure if this has been spotted, read this on the NABD site and I'd put it here as its Hightower's bro :
Desperately seeking Haystack
Dear people,
I've just seen a recent copy of "B.S.H." (presumeably the latest issue) which had an article in it covering your "You've Been Nabbed" rally. I saw a photograph in there of someone that looked like a friend I haven't seen for YEARS and, as I might be leaving the country soon, I wonder if you could help me get in touch with him...? (I will try 'n' track down the issue/page number of the mag I saw, but the fella who showed me is away for a few weeks...typical!) http://www.nabd.org.uk/smallads/haystack_small.jpg (http://www.nabd.org.uk/smallads/haystack.jpg)I know the fella in the picture as "Haystack", and he's sat on what LOOKS like (it's quite a small photo) a V-Max engined trike, with a smiling girly (looks like his partner, if my memory serves me correct) on the pillion. All I can tell you about him is that he's of Irish descent, a fairly hefty bloke (he's called "Haystack" because he actually looks like the wrestler "Giant Haystacks") and his right leg was amputated below the knee....which probably describes quite a few bikers!! > I appreciate that you're not about to dish out people's contact details just 'cos someone says they're trying to track down an "old mate", so I'd like to give my details and this specific information to you if I may, hopefully so's you'll forward this on to him, or anyone who can help me get in touch with him.
MESSAGE FOR HAYSTACK "My name's Pete and I used to live with my wife in the same block of flats as your Dad in Kinglake Street, and last saw you in person at the Music studios I used to work at in Parson's Green (I DON'T work there anymore so you can't contact me there!). Me 'n' you have been to the Kent show a few times; first on my GS750, and then on my shovelhead Harley & Martine's got the photo's to prove it! You know I play a musical instrument (remember that time you saw me play in that pub in East London with Paul "widdley", Bev's boyfriend?). Just so I know this is the Haystack that knows me, tell me WHAT instrument I (still) play & the road on which the pub that me, you & Jimmy used to frequent every Tuesday for the rock club etc.., and any other details you can recall; i.e: my (now ex) wife's name and what she did for a living. I'm still "out West", though not at the address you last visited, but I'm in the immediate area. The reason I'm trying to contact you is that I may soon be going abroad for good, so I'd REALLY like to meet up with you to have one last beer(s), say goodbye AND to leave my details so's we can keep in touch in the future; it's been FAR too long, bruv....
If you are Haystack, or you know him, please contact John Lysons (NABD PR Officer) via the contact page (http://www.nabd.org.uk/contactus.htm)
