I booked the Bulldog months ago & have been looking forward to it since.
Now it's getting nearer the time to go, i'm feeling really guilty about leaving the wife & kids at home while I have the time of my life & get pissed as arseholes. I hate having a conscience sometimes! :(

ask them to come with you

if they say no

then thats their fault and thus the transfer of guilt can be completed :)

but seriously, bring em with ya

That's the problem, they have all been great. my wife (Kate) told me to get away for a bit & we've been trying to find a nice cottage in the country for her & the 2 girls (Rachel 6 Jessica 4) but still looking. She likes her comfort too much. Got higher standards than me. (not hard, I ain't got any!)
