I can't add to what has been said already. I saw Taz at the weekend and we were talking about Cookie.
My Mum died of the big C last year when I was at the Rock and Blues and my wife has just got back from her uncles funeral today, who also had the big C, so I know how hard it is living with the thought that your loved ones are not going to be around for long.
Just remember the good times and the huge hole will gradually close up, but never completely.

Love to you all at this difficult time

Cookies arrangements are thus:

The funeral will take place on Friday 6th August at Weymouth Crem at 3:15p.m. we are going from the square in Beaminster at 2:00p.m.

I have arranged a wake at the Bull Inn at Swyre which we will pass on the way as we are riding the coast road. I am trying to sort out camping for those that wish to come down on the Thurs p.m./eve or stay on Fri to ride home on Sat, can those that may want to camp please let me know a.s.a.p.

NO FLOWERS PLEASE he wants donations to the Dorset Air Ambulance which can be handed/sent to myself or the funeral directors - A. J. Wakeley & Sons, 91 East Street, Bridport, Dorset.

Lets see Cookie off in the style he wished for BIKES, BIKES and more BIKES.

I would like to say a huge thank you to all of you that have sent your best wishes, cards and offers of help/shoulders to me. They have helped keep me strong over the past 10 weeks.

Ever your sister Guz

The passing of a brother is always a sad time.
But cookie would not have wanted us to greave over his death but celebrate his life.
I will be leading a run down from London if anyone wants to tag along you are more than welcome

I will be making a few pick up points along the route
BUT WE WILL NOT BE WAITING FOR PEOPLE
I will post up places & times we will be getting to them ( rough arrival times leaving times are strict )
This may sound harsh but as the Essex chapter will be the outriders for the run we can not afford to be late.
Hope to see lots of you on the 6th.

Ok I Do not like to be late for anything so we will be making a early start & as we could end up with a few slower bikes with us ( slow as in can not cruise at motorway speed 70mph ) Don't worry we will not be doing anything over 70mph Im only on a GT55o myself.

There will be tail end markers so if you do fall behind there will be someone behind you

The route we will be taking is as follows

M25
M3
A303 to bower hinton left onto the
A356 to misterton then right onto the
A3066 to beaminister

The following arrival times at pick up are rough because we don't know what traffic & weather will be like the 1st 2 stops will be for only 5 minutes if you miss us dont panic just follow the route we will be stopping along the A303 for a fag & coffe break ( don't know where until we get there ) Please make sure you have a full tank of petrol Once we are on the A roads we will drop the speed down to 50mph so if you have to make a stop for petrol you should be able to catch us up.

Stops for pick ups Will be
Thurrock services ( M25 ) 8.15 leaving at 8.20
Clackett lane ( M25 ) 8.50 Leaving 8.55
Fleet Services (M3 ) 10.00 leaving 10.30 ( So us smokers can pollute our lungs some more )

For those riding down from M25 area:-

We will be running a breakdown van from Clacketts services on the M25 behind the run all the way to Weymouth.

We can make running repairs or pick up a maximum of 2 bikes, which we will return to anywhere in the South East immediately after the Funeral.

Respects
