I wanna start playing music again. Summat rock, metal like. Got me own kit (Nowt special) I can play hard and fast, very punchy and bloody good timing but not into technical stuff but if you have ideas i well work at it. Im a bit rusty but can soon get up to speed again. Anyway, would love to start a band or join one. Oh, no Musos that wanna be rock gods, just a good fun Rock, metal type band where we have a laugh and get people jumpin about. Punk bands very welcome to, especially if you like the Business, 4 Skins, Cock Sparrer, Section 5 etc etc. Im an ex skin etc so you get the idea. :D

You're in a different part of the country to me, so I can't point you in the direction of any bands, but round here drummers are rare, good drummers are rarer than rocking horse ****. So if it's the same in Lincs, you should be OK.

There's always 53 miliion wannabe guitarists and singers. :)

Music shops usually have a "musicians wanted/musicians available" board, so sticking a poster up wouldn't hurt. Or you could do a search on Partysounds (http://www.partysounds.co.uk)

Rob,

You could try finding a local(ish) jam session/open mike night - a good excuse to meet other musos and get a band together from there.

This may be of use... Lincoln Local Bands/Events (http://www.lincoln-live.co.uk/bands.htm) as it mentions a few jams.

Shall we get the drummer gags out of the way now?

What's the difference between a drummer and a drum machine?
You only have to punch the information into a drum machine once.

Whay do you say to a drummer with two black eyes?
Nothing, you've already told him twice.

How do you know when the stage is level?
The drummer drools out of both sides of his mouth.

What do you call a drummer who's just split up with his girlfriend?
Homeless.

A bloke walks into a shop.
"I want one of them Fender Strattycasters and a Marshall Amp, and a book on how to become like Hendrix"
"You're a drummer, aren't you?"
"Yeah, how did you know?"
"This is a butchers.."

etc...
