Ive mentioned this elsewhere to as im getting sick to death of people slagging off these bikes and their riders. Ive had sports bikes and still have one (being streetfightered but still a sports bike), most of my mates own them so on so forth. Its getting a bit tedious hearing that all people who ride these bikes are part timers, ****e, a liability etc etc. If a persons a prick then yeah, their a prick, it dont matter what they ride so stop pidgeon holing people.
Look at it this way, if i were to turn round and say i hate all Pakis cause of what ive seen on the news most people on here well jump down my throat for tarring them all with the same brush so on so forth.
Anyway, you get what i mean.

Does that mean we cant slag off Bandit riders again....
I better tell Jack Staines... ROFL! :o

So tell me this then Rob -
Why is that most police forces in this sceptic isle of ours only go after the sports bike riders? The ones that keep cropping up in the accident figures year after year.

They aren't interested in the rest of the biking population, as the harley riders etc aren't the ones regularly wiping themselves out on bends or causing Joe Public grief with their stupidly loud race pipes haring through villages or overtaking like a complete tit on bends - as if every Sunday was a track day.

The reason most other bikers slag them off, is because they are sick of these tossers buggering it up for the rest of us! Most of the people you mention couldn't give a damn about biking, they are only doing it for their latest thrill. When that goes (as it may if certain police forces get their way), they'll move onto the next and the next etc... OK, they may be a minority, but they are the more visible minority.

Your mates may not be part of the tosser element but until such time as these muppets learn to ride a bit more sensibly, they will all be tarred with the same brush - sadly.

And as far as your comments about Pakis etc. Everyone here goes on about Asylum seekers and no-one bats an eyelid. See what I mean?

Ah Mitch, ive heard all these lovely quiet Harleys, Wannabee Harleys, so on so forth. Great ad for motorbikes trundling round on summat that sounds like a tractor with a broken exhaust. And the people are so responsible to, god it must be great being so righteous.
Me and mates ride fast, sure as **** we do, we love motorbikes for this reason, also love em for being out in all weathers, cruising, travelling etc etc etc.. If i wanted to ride slow i'd buy a Harley and a bandana. Oh, and of course all the denim cut offs with Satans arse bandits etc are a great ad for bikes as people all know how responsible these people can be, especially with their Shotguns etc. Oh, and the responsible people that ride mopeds and scooters, bless them, i can see their angel wings poking out from under their clothes right now. Oh for fcuks sake, you think these bikes are gonna just disappear? Nope, they'll be about forever now and the righteous biker well have pissed off another segment of biking with his pious fossil fookin attitude. I suppose youve heard the saying United we stand Divided we fall? Well the only time Sports bikes well go is when all motorbikes are banned. Maybe a bit of unity instead of slagging off a whole section of motorcycling off for a few tossers would help huh? Ive seen quite a few tossers in black leathers, waist coats, denim cut offs and the likes to over the last 20 years ive been legally on the road riding 365 days a year.

Boys boys... ROFL
I think we all agree that there are a minority of tossers in all types of biking, but I tend to agree with Mitch that sadly there does seem to be a larger (if not larger then more visable) amount of knobs who ride sports bikes, I wish this wasnt true, I wish we could all just get out and enjoy it but in this day and age we all have to watch our own backs and look after our lifestyle and there is defo more of the 'just another toy' brigade who ride sports bikes and they dont give a flying fuck about us or our lifestyle cos next week/month/year they'll have a new toy. They go out and kill themselves, push up the accident stats plus our insurance cost and make every one more antibike than ever before.
Sorry if that offends you Rob, Im not saying you or your mates are included in that, Im just saying there is a higher percentage of knobs on that type of bike.

I'm seeing double of late when it comes to your posts Rob, no offence but ffs stop whinging and moaning, everyone can think what they like as regards to other people whether they be bikers or trendies or hippies ,,,,get my drift.

What I say is this, stop with this crap and get on with your lives, dont give a feck what other people think or say, life really is too short , just live for today and enjoy what you enjoy most and be happy. Yes this may sound a bit hippish, but for god sake, there's friends and familys out there amongst us all who cant ride anymore or worse,,,,,, c'mon guys give it up plz :(

Scuse me Rob, but I think I said that already! I ride for the same reason you do and probably get the same buzz out of it if truth be told. I've been calling for unity among bikers for bleedin' years mate - if not, there'd be no point me wasting my spare time as I do working to protect biking. Well this is a pointless argument i suppose Mitch and it wasnt meant to be, it was just a request as such. At the end of the day im just fed up with certain people preaching tolerance etc yet its only if it suits them. Triker Gal, you sure that people can say what they want? Ok, i fookin hate queers, theyre bloody everywhere and they disgust me. I bet Nick Griffin dont feel he can say what he wants either. Ha! Bet someone has summat to say about that now.

I must admit that sports bike riders do cause a lot of aggresion between cars and even other bikers with their ridiculous speeds that do on the local roads, but all i do is catch up with them and they slow down then when they realise a 20 year old bike is just as quick as theirs, and the reason you never see any news about harley riders killing themselves at stupid speeds is cos noone ever takes them out, they spend all week cleaning them instead heheheheh

Rob - if the majority of trailie riders were knobs, constantly putting down other peoples bikes/choice of bikes/riding attire AND were putting up my insurance costs and aggravating the Police, be assured I would start labelling all of them as tossers. Classic bike riders, GoldWing riders, chop riders, streetfighters etc don't do that - at least I've never come across it. Whereas with power-rangers I have had them openly slag off my CBR because it is black and used looking (it is black and ridden high speed high mileage), slagged of the Katana because of it's handling and brakes (it's 20 years old ferchristsake) and the GoldWing (for numerous crimes). One went as far as trying to kill me by screwing up a bend and coming on to my side of the road right at me, well over 60. So how come it's only the sportbike riders that do this?

Cos they're tossers - thankfully they are generating lots of cheap spares for me to build bikes with.

's funny that - certain folk at the local rag which I work for have got their own theories about the demise of the west pier (especially now the other ones been renamed - from the Palace Pier – Brighton Pier, as if it's the only one...!) obviously the paper won't print their theories for legal reasons (as the owners of the palace pier are shrewd barstewards so I've been told) but there you go...

One of the adverts for the paper has got a picture of the pier with the question 'The Arsonist?' for a heading (it's The Argus u see, they came up with all these little plays on words)... makes you think?

acidpixie

think its a bit like a lot of listed buildings.
When I was a kid in the 60s there was a local flicks , an Old style when there was only one screen .
Inside was done up like a spanish village with fake balconys and red velvet hanging down from the ceilling.
Place closed down cos everyone wanted multi-screen places.
It was listed so no one could do anything to it to make it proffitable so it just rotted untill it was declared "unsafe" then it was pulled down.

Think the pier was the same only the ending was speeded up a little.

MrFluffy

I thought chris ewbank wanted to buy it and build a house on it, complete with heli landing pad, and brighton council told him to sod off? so the property company left it as is to rot?
