basingstoke area bikers

for anyone who's interested, a couple of lads have started a biker meet at the Golden Lion pub - dunno the address (ask gypsy lol)

they have put their hearts into this, trying to establish a meet-up for fellow bikers, £1 a night so they can save up to get a band in or a BBQ

every Wednesday night

it's not just about bikes though so car drivers are also welcome

just what we need in this boring town...!

Basingstoke lacks good pubs with a good jukebox and a landlord//lady who doesn't mind having us noisy lot there..!

so if you ever find yourself in the area on a Wed. night

right smack bang in the middle ha ha - though not in the centre ;)

um, it's an area called viables - pub is right on a roundabout - they only have 4 members at the mo...they want it to grow enough to have lotsa bikes covering the car park out the front lol

me gypsy n stevie went last night, it's walking distance for us so we probs go most weeks - been waiting for summat like this for 2 years lol, was even gonna start me own :)

Shame it's on a Wednesday night -it'll clash with the weekly meet at the transport cafe in Alton railway station carpark, (the one with the big "Biker Friendly" sign in the window, just 10 miles up the road. That's been running every Wednesday night during the Summer for years. Plus the monthly meet at Odiham, (also about 10 miles away), on the first Wednesday of every month. Maybe they need to change nights to raise attendance?
