hey Jay, it is a living hell when he's in the office - and I can't complain because I have to work with the guy and he reviews my work, he finds fault where there is no fault, trouble is there's no-one to check his work.

so if I complained about his attitude he'd get worse

in two years I have never had a project go through without him sending it back with silly mistakes (a lot of em not mistakes at all) I've had no proper training and he's doing my head in

and I do around 1 project a week so that's a lot of mistakes huh?

makes me feel as if I'm stupid and a useless engineer - makes me wonder why they bother employing me if I'm so cr@p at my job

it doesn't help when he's my boss though, he may feel threatened, and he may dislike me, but he has control over what happens to me at work so I will suffer if he pulls certain strings :(

otherwise I would ignore him, and maybe give him a taste of his own medicine

oh yeah, he's the 'golden boy' as far as higher management are concerned too, he's been here for years and it would be no contest if I ever tried to get them to sort the problem out

I hate to say that because I hate it when women call the sexism card, but I started here the same week my mate who gives me a lift started. Now this guy is a level below me jobwise, he has the same boss, and our appraisals were completely different - he got comments like 'oh yeah, good boy, well done' I got comments like 'oh you haven't been to any of the after work drinks so you're not really a team player' thing is neither had my mate been to any :mad:

also he recently told my mate he wouldn't be checking his work so thoroughly.

maybe it's just the simple fact that he can't stand the fact that I'm a girl and I can do engineering, also he doesn't have a degree and a lot of men who I've worked with have had a problem with that

just read your post doro, the answer is in your post ,the guys ****e scared as he doesnt have the same qualifications as a mere woman(tongue in cheek) , if it helps im the same always getting **** from above, but i dont let it affect me i switch off at 5:30 as thats family time(tis how i cope) ,had a similar thing boss got the hump cuz i told him i wasnt interested in his latest incentive scheme(told him to stick his holiday up his arse) and was told i wasnt a team player etc, i told him to check his facts as the last 3 team nights out were payed for with incentives i won. they get the hump cuz i wont do the works do's etc, and none of em realise they are total fuckwits, just learn to switch off as soon as your shifts over fuck em they aint worth a wank
