Figured this would save me the price of a stamp.
Wanted to say thanks to !00% for feturing the Lambretta chop this issue. Takes me back to the chops going around in the early eighties.
First time I saw Don lockbridges( zat his name?) engraving was on a scooter.

Must admit it was the first time ive seen so many Harley parts look quite so good together too.
fairplay.
Thanks Pat O great one.

Don Blocksidge was the engravers name. What with maltese cross n metalflake coming back in how long before we see a bike with a load of engraving.
I liked the Lamb chop an all.

I saw his mates' new chop scooter at Grim Oop North Rally this weekend!
Took best custom.
It is bloody immaculate and puts a lot of bikes to shame - short springers , chopped and moulded frame , drag bars , mustang tank , little solo seat - superb! All finished in a nice green metallic - silver flames.
Needs a feature in the mag for sure!

that will be a treat Pat ta,
hope u dont get too much stick in the letters bag.
think for folks like me who are into customised bikes AND scoots that the scoot chops are the best of both worlds.
Wouldnt mind getting hld of an Indian LML scoot and trying stuff with it, would be different what with not having a frame and all, thats one advantage the lambies have.
rather see these than a line of BSH off-the -shelf HDs

Pat

I know the owner of golioth has been isolated from his scooter clubs, and some people this side have said a few harsh things. But if he wants to ride with me to a rally sometime - give him my email addy and well ride in together ....

Purchased a 4" angle grinder from B&Q* yesterday, on offer at £19.98 including 50 free disks. I mention this because if you want to bring your scooter round to mine I'll chop it up for you!

*can't wait until they do an offer on a mig.

How about an arc welder got one sitting in the shed, used less than 60 sec, the little bisturd spit and burnt me when i tried to use it never plugged it in since. ;)

Sh*t i thought the little bisturd might be moving out of me shed, it looks at me every time i walk in there and dares me to plug it into the mains. :D :D ;)

Well I still think it's a scooter, because that's what the donor was (eg. VW trike - a VW that's made into a trike) I still say it is a very clever/pretty/skilled piece of engineering/design and it DID deserve a feature though. Dan.

PS.then again I could destroy the previous argument- that black bike on the custom Xtreme section at the NEC couldn't really be described as a cement mixer. OOOH semantics!
