Bit iffy this, im not havin a go at anyone but sometimes it would help if people were a bit more understanding in a quiet way. I suffer with Clinical Depression and sometimes laughter aint the best policy, sometimes you just need someone to talk at which is bloody hard to do and to understand. I know everyone on heres got their hearts in the right place so please dont think im havin a pop.
Liz, if you ever want a chat just give me a shout.

been there - done that - done the whole prozak thing (lost a whole year of my life, ended up crying in front of the telly to the music from eastenders in the middle of the afternoon still in my dressing gown - at which point i realized somthing was wrong... )

it IS possible to get out of it.You need friends / friend. you need to take apart your life and deal with the **** one blob at a time - a mountain of problems is scary, a single pebble isnt scary. a mountain is just loads of pebbels on top of each other.

well, thats how i did it....

so - lets start...

deep breath.

sit down.

dont think too much.

problem 1 is???

pm me if you want.

Amen.

It still amazes me how much some you married and cared for, had kids with and shared everything with.
......Quote old man in bar on the wedding singer....

Then rip your heart out of your ass.

Gets easier ya know. Your not alone by any stretch there is always someone worse off than your self believe it or not.

In the big picture of religious war death and famine and global warming planets formin etc etc.

Your own probs can seem pretty small. thats what kept me going that and my little boy.
I sent a pm about that one chuck.

Clinical means that i know. does'nt have to be started by whats happening in your life but just keep the important things in focus and wait. its a cliche' i know but time really is the best healer, in 6 months time you'll wonder what the fuss was about, that i can promise you.

As stated i am always available for a chat.

Take it easy eh?

I have to agree, but when you find out your wife slept with the best man on your wedding night, and then your 4 year old son has a gun put to his head by your ex's new parter and your charged with attempted murder cos your ex is now with some crooked cops it can take a little longer than 6 months, But their is always an exeption to the rule as im 1 of those in 2000 men in a divorce who actually kept my son, so there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, as im back in court tomorrow for more of the lies it might be the lights on a freighttrain but after 5 1/2 years i quite enjoy the thrill

Apart from the gun thing which i have to say is a bitch of something to take in, and the cop thing and custody.(i got 50% which i thought was quite good til now.
Thats what happened to me lol.

Proof is right here liz, theres always some one worse off than ya self.

Hi liz,

I apologise if I've upset you. It was not my intention. however, when someone comes on this site posts a couple of times then declares that they won't be posting again, peeps tend to star thinking that it's been a wind up. Hence looking at your birth date, and jumping to the wrong conclusion in my case.

As Mrs.R quite rightly pointed out I do have a Mrs. But me being who I am went into Mr. Humphreys mode and shouted "I'm Free"!

There are some real good friends on this forum. So when you are down it's worth a trawl around here. They will soon support you and have your sides splitting with larfter in the process! ( I can't spell laughter!)

I agree with Friar, it is a bit strange for someone who's new to say bye as if they'd ever been here at all (only 5 posts)

perhaps they were a lurker and felt like they knew us

as for the depression thing

I've suffered from depression ALL my life, or was I just unhappy? Either way it all came to a head in 2000 and I broke down. My daughter (who was 14 at the time) and my best friend saw me through it

even then I was still in a poor state of mind

until I moved 300 miles away for new job and met gypsy.

:)

forgot to add

people used to tell me stuff saying I'd be better and things weren't that bad etc

I couldn't see it ending so I didn't listen

well it is hard to believe anything when depression hits

but they were right, with some life changes, and just one person to support you, and just one person who's life would be ruined if you weren't there (your child eg) then you will make it through the other side

when I was at my worst i used to listen to a song by garbage which had the words

'the trick is to keep breathing'

and that was my mantra, I just had to keep breathing and i'd stay alive

to keep breathing was about the only thing I could concentrate on doing.

I was a single parent with 3 kids, a full time job, 1 friend (who was the best)

no family

or any other support

but I did it

main thing I did to beat depression was to cut everyone out of my life who caused me pain, whether they did it directly or indirectly.

if peeps don't bring love & support & happiness then get away from them, no contact, at all, family ties or not!

it worked for me

but at the time I didn't know it would

the trick is to keep breathing

wishing you all well

:o

Ah yes some people never have headaches or colds just migraine and influenza syndrome

even then I was still in a poor state of mind

both mind and pocket are poor in my case!

until I moved 300 miles away for new job and met gypsy :)

Hurray a happy ending!!!!

Mind you I wouldn't have told a few on here that I had an 18 year old daughter!!!
