Hello all! No controversial stuff please.
After much deliberation Memnock & myself have foundered a club in the said area. This just happens to be where we live and not our territory! That belongs to the more senior clubs and we recognise & respect that as such.
we are seeking new members to our club. we dont want a lot, just a select few that can gell n bond the club in to what we and the new bods are seeking from our way of life and lifestyle.
We are first and foremost lifestyle Bikers & commited to what we are. we are friends & brothers. We are not territorial, Non political & we have No officers. We are a Party & rallie club and we value commitment, trust and above all each other!
For the full criteria, please see the link to our homepage http://hometown.aol.co.uk/restlessmcc/myhomepage/motorcycle.html or email restlessmcc@aol.com.
We also seek invites to party with others and others are welcome to party with us.
Thanks!
Rockape
ok so since you're non-terrotorial does that mean you are eligble to be considered as a member if you live in Scotland or summat?
also no wimmin? *sniff*
and no cops? is that cos you is gonna be breaking the law??
*grin*
ok I know that was all a bit tongue-in-cheek, but it sounds good lads, and good luck to you, have you got a design for your patch so we can look out for it at rallies and say hi?
we are gonna stick to NABD cos we wouldn't be able to commit time etc to anything else, we like the freedom to be able to do what we want when we want etc, and we wouldn't feel right being in a club but not helping out
it wouldn't be fair to the other members
besides we're joined at the hip so we'd only be able to join a club where wimmin were equal members (or men if it was WITW) lol
:D

Nice one guys... all the best from me and Mrs R!
It's a bit like our mob, LXIX - a bunch of regularly p1ssed individuals who find themselves at rallies.
Hope to meet up with you sometime next time we're up north (getting more regular that these days)! :D
And not to be confused with Restless Natives MCC in Leicester.

Certainly no links with the above.
Just to clarify, I personally tried to contact this club through links to their club name on a variety of club link sites but with no success.
fank u mr ape
am sure you'll get plenty of fellow bros to join you
and we'll watch out for the patch
hey maybe you could number the patches so everyone would have a joining status, or no. of years service status??
I know it means you have to do every patch individually, hence costing more, but would be good eh?
(well, I'd do it..!)
Best of luck with it guys, see you in a field somewhere.

So the club finally made it!
I live in Leeds, and I want to join.
just been to the website and I wholeheartedly agree with everything on it, and because of that, I WON'T be joining for a couple of months, because I don't have a running bike at the mo.I'd like to turn up and say hello if i may, but I won't be requesting a patch until I turn up on 2 wheels. After summer (maybe before) I'll be there with bells on an 2 wheels.

'right takes me back to when I joined the Four Aces MCC - I was about four years younger than Crofty! The bast*rds... how I got to join, I'll never know... at least I had two wheels - OK, it was a Honda H100sII, but it was two wheels and I'd already been to Glencoe and back on it from Halifax (by A-roads of course) a month or so before, for my first rally.
A bit of a p1sser when I wrote it off the week after getting my full patch! One broken collarbone thanks to a dog that ran out in front of me!
(the most embarrasing thing was the ward sister at the BRI was my girlfriend's mother!!! :0 ).

And there's me with an English A-Level! Er, how about "expecting to be considered for a patch" or that's prospecting, er how about I just turn up and say hello? oh, fuck it, I'ts 3.30 am, I can't sleep, I have no money and I'm moving out in a week or 2, gotta get a job. mmmm. job=provable income=ridiculous loan=bike and car (don't worry, I'm not a boy racer, It won't go on a clio/nova/corsa with neons and 3 nicked alloy wheels!)

Nah, it's not 'Prospecting' as such it's just a case of being yersen'. If folks like ya after an unspecified amount of time you'll get your patch (obviously, if you're a total git, the time will get longer and longer until you get the message and feck off - the other side of the coin is if you're a decent bloke and they find they can trust you, you'll get your patch sooner).
There's a CM125 coming up for sale shortly, once a few niggles are sorted out and it's MOT'd (a couple of months from now probably), matt black it and you're sorted! It wouldn't be too expensive either and it would fit in a van... (and no, I'm not taking the p1ss... there is a bike going if anyone wants it - better a 125 than no wheels at all. Especially one that can hool round the M25 at not exactly a snail's pace - as I know when I road it home for't sprogg!)

You hit the nail on the head in one Mitch! Couldn't have said it better myself. I'de av just been a little blunter, but thats my problem..straight to the point n blunt!

'tis true, 'tis true, I should have a job soon I hope, then I'll get a loan and get a bike, prob. a CX500 or summat. Did anyone see the prototype "elsie" in classic motorcycle mechanics a couple months ago? All black with strategically polised bits? I might do that.

Don't get a loan, you will regret it I promise you... wait a bit longer, save the cash. It's a lot more satisfying in the end when you've saved for something and know it's paid for without any monthly payments, just incase you deck it. Anyroad, if you got a loan, then a maggot, you'd be off your head mate. :D

I've got them a legitimate free site with NO popup or ads...plus A gig a month of bandwidth
I'd use it myself, but theyre fussy about the content....A bike club site with a photo gallery etc is ok, compared to the stuff on my site which is a bit iffy to say the least.
most sites wont let you carry content whichis copywrite, which is why I use a redirector to my free site...:(
XJ, have a look at my site...hyperlink is in the signature, and tell me what you think..

there's some good editing software out there. MS publisher was pretty easy to use, but the code was big and it took a long time to load. If it's just a basic text and pictures with a few links website, I can try to do it in notepad if you want. It's been a while butI think I can still remember the HTML, as long as you don't want an all singing all dancing media centre. You'll have to sort out the webspace at your end though, I'm just familiar with the programming. You're best sending a CD if it's after thursday nite, because I'll be away from my broadband for a bit.

I've built two sites using Frontpage - the first was on a college intranet and the second was for another club but never actually went online with it!
FP is a good product and easy to use - I like it. Rock Ape and I haven't had this discussion yet lol but I'll show ya tonight m8.

One thing about FrontPage...
It's a Micro$oft product and as such you can build lots of things into the website that Internet Explorer can handle but some other browsers either won't show or will show badly.
The original widely browser before M$ got in on the act was Netscape Navigator - now the browser of choice is Firefox.
(pedant mode... Strictly speaking IE isn't a browser; for PCs it's just an extension of Windows Explorer)

Front page in my opinion is the bigest piece of crap out there.....
I should know, as I've "Tested" just about all of them at one time or another
There's lots of good html editors, including WYSIWYG editors, but you need to hunt them down as the big guns tend to swamp the newer varieties.
My favorite weapon of choice is NAMO WEBEDITOR V6 ...does just about everything that you need/want including vector based graphix/web board/forums.
Another good one is Coffee cup software
Both MUCH better than that crap supplied by Microsoft
Just my own opinion mind, but never having any training in coding, I found both of these to be fairly easy to use as a beginer
If anyone wants them :) gimme a pm...

You may be right m8 - I'm not doubting your knowledge or experience.
I found Frontpage very easy to use and it did everything I wanted it to do - having absolutely no experience of webpage design! It worked for me and that's all I wanted it to do! :D
I'm not a fan of Microsoft products either (for a number of reasons) but for me, the old 'if it ain't broke - don't fix it!' motto stands!
