Trike Brakes?

Building a Reliant based trike from scratch......nearly have it all finished (Yippee!!) just one thing is really bugging me.......Does anyone know if it's permisable to operate the brake master cylinder remotely by cable?
Re: for MOT purposes etc.
The reason being, i want to hide the master cylinder under the seat.

some scooters are rigged up with a cable to the master cylinder.
so i should imagine it's ok :)

BMW's had the front master cylinder mounted under the tank and cable operated.
