i've just bought a 1.8td p100 pick up. with removable truckman top.

as i never intend it to carry a ton of weight, i want to convert it to 4 stud wheels and alter the gearing.
this is done by fitting ford sierra hubs to the front and a capri axle mounted above the springs on the rear.
question... has anyone done or knows someone who has done one? if so is the capri rear axle easy to fit.
welding/fabricating mounts is no prob but does the prop and uj's mate up ok.

all info gratefully received.

"trike it" is not help..
"why you asking a car related question" is also not help. :D :D

tim. you done one???

Nope!

But, in my experience most axles are mounted above the springs already......

If you meant you want to lower it, I usually get the longer U bolts from Hooper's just round the corner from me.

i belive that the ford capri axle is narrower than the p100 cos i used a p100 axle on my trike and apparrently a ford capri 3.09 diff will fit straight into the casing cos its a 3.89 standard ratio also if you have a spare capri diff from a 3litre injection capri would probs be interested
