Deadly spider released by hospital Staff
Staff released a deadly spider into hospital grounds despite a man having to be treated with an emergency dose of antidote after it bit him.

Matthew Stevens, a chef, was bitten twice on the hand by the five-inch arachnid, identified as a Brazilian Wandering spider, as he cleaned behind a freezer at the Quantock Gateway pub in Bridgwater, Somerset, where he works.

The 23-year-old took a picture of the creature using his mobile phone so it could be identified before his hand started to swell and he was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. It took him almost a week to recover from the bite.

The spider, whose venom is more potent than that of a Black Widow, was captured and also taken to the hospital where it was later identified by experts from Bristol Zoo. Mr Stevens was treated with oxygen and spider bite anti-venom.

Staff at the hospital released the spider in the hospital grounds, mistaking it for a domestic species. It is not thought to pose a public health risk as experts say it would have died soon after its release, said the trust.

WATCH OUT ALL YOU DOWN SOUTH

Do you see what we have to put up with?

This same hospital is responsible for numerous crimes against mrs fade2black for which it still remains unpunished.

According to the paper down here. The hospital rang the RSPCA and Cardiff Poisin units and identified that the bloke would be ok.

The RSPCA said keep hold of him, we want to come and pick him up tomorrow and absolutely make sure he is what we say he is.

SO the hospital let him go in the grounds of the hospital

Un be fecking leivable

Am of course checking boots for spiders at all times and if I find a big fecker like that I will NOT be asking him to move along nicely please thankyou!!

And why do they think the spider will immediately DIE!!!! We're not exactly having an arctic winter down here, the weather's nice and spiders survived the feckin' ice age anyway.........ARGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Useless bastards! The bloody thing survived long enough to bite him and was still alive when it was released. How can anyone be that incompetent and stupid.
(Mrs R spider phobic)

I've got the patio doors firmly closed, not taking any chances!

I won't be able to sleep tonight knowing that things on the loose, lurking around Taunton, waiting to strike at any moment...
