no sure !!
Car passes its mot saturday gone,,,,,,sunday there's suddenly a quiet knocking sound,, sounds like its coming from one of the front wheels, hmmmmmm,, take it back to mot place today,,,,,, we've checked all the calipers, brake pads, brake discs ect, cant find anything wrong, that'll be £32 please.
So off I go,, there it is again but louder, get all the way home and think right, i'll take it round to my cousin and see if he has any idea as to what it is. We take it round the block once and he hears the sound. Cousin says it sounds like one of the brake calipers at the front. So we jack up the car and low behold there's a bolt missing from the passenger side front brake caliper. It took him all of 2 minutes to find the problem. So new bolt replaced and a quick go round the block a couple of times just to make sure the sound has gone, and yes it has.
Phoned up the mot place to complain that this was so obvious to spot, yet they failed to, sorry no refund just sorry !!!!!!!!!!

I know that feeling!!!! Am in recovery from a most excellent weekend... me and Mrs R set off from my work on Saturday over to the rally - got there about 8, almost didn't make it at all after we both almost missed a t-junction  got to the rally, lovely weather - second band were better than the first I must say; Sunday morning came around, spouting incomprehensible boswellox to John T (Southern MAG Rep), met Saxman!!; set off for home around 10, went to't club for a dip and a sunbathe - then the fun really began...
First, about to dive underwater in the pool, not realising I was too close to the steps, and banged my right ankle! second, got cramp in my right calf, just kicking out in the pool. Thirdly, got stung in my top lip by a wasp that was trying to nick my beer (yes, I drank a wasp!!!!).
Swelling went down (on my top lip!!) with the help of an ice cube so was able to carry on lazing about getting pink (though not as burnt as last time!). Rode the forty miles home through Brighton which was gridlocked. Mrs R ran out of petrol, luckily we were 100yds from a garage. Got home about 8pm totally blissed out!!!
Best weekend I've had in ages!!!!!!!

Yep, you got it Mrs R. Never had them in my life !!! My mate admited to me last night that she is infested with them and has been for ages and so are all her kids (4 of them) who I happily practise my face painting on them every now and then. Pleaseeeeeeeee tell me how to best get rid cos I've scratched so hard my head is red raw now :( . I'm off to the chemist in a bit to get the treatment and comb, but is there a trick to it or do I have to suffer for ages till they all go ?????
I've got a face painting do on beggining of September, so could do with having peace of mind that they have gone by then?
Mrs Reject
23-08-2004, 11:22 AM
Don't panic Mrs Mainwaring :) The lotion kills them straight away and then you just comb eggs and lice out thoroughly - it's well easy and they are gone in a day!
Mitch was a total nightmare to do though - took me hours and hours, he has waist length hair, very thick and curly and I must have broken about 6 combs on him and used no end of bottles of lotion to cover it all. Got rid of the little perishers though and they never came back. I now avoid other people's children like the plague!

Dont worry mate, as wotsit above says (cant remember and cant be arsed to go back and look sorry Mrs R.. Doro?) the stuff will sort you out, but dont forget to do shaggy too! and more embaressingly anyone else you have been in contact with .... or you'll just be re infected again. Its a bugger but has to be done, anyone with kids has been there, done it and got loads of tee shirts! If you have long hair which i seem to remember you do... one bottle wont be enough, you could even try your local childrens clinic as they usually either give it free or sell it cheap (well they do round here) It really stinks but its effective.
The lotions available these days are a far better treatment then the old days of shaving your head and painting it with this orrible stingy stuff that they used many years ago.
At our house, friday night is head check night.
I have never had lice, and I should never get em either :D
Shave your head - saves money on lotions.

shave your head you know its the only option :D :D
but seriously emma had a spate of them at school everyday she was getting new ones (this went on for quite a while) at first we got rid of them then she would just get them again..it was getting rather expensive....so we would come her hair morning and after school, we would also treat it with tea tree oil, but the most affective cure for not getting re-infected (morrisons do a good lice comb..about £3 but it has two lines of metal teeth and is pretty good)
Yoda
...
Hair spray....lots of it
since spraying her hair everyday she has not had one dose of them and has been clear for at least 6 months

K-flippin' knackered. Tees riders rally on Friday nite was an absolute blast tho a long way from Basingstoke. Finished my set around 8.30pm so I was away back down south just after 9pm. Arrived at the OGRI rally around 2am in plenty of time to have a few beers or so before headin' to bed. Had a great time there too on Saturday, playin' two sets in the afternoon to a very receptive bunch of folks. Left the site in Wiltshire around 6pm to head off for London to play a short bluegrass set with The Soggy Rottum Boys for one of our ex-members 40th birthday. Got back to Basingstoke this afternoon so time to chill now before tomorrows gig at a bike show just down the road from here at Popham Airfield on the A303. I'll be on just after lunchtime and then later in the afternoon, so if ya can make it along I'll be pleased to see ya.

I reckon if (by my own experience - 8yrs) of Quark and Illustrator you could probably teach them a thing or two - I find that at work every day (the management in my case don't know dixie).
I would love to learn Dreamweaver - I've even got it - but haven't got the time to learn. I'm like you with Photoshop, I've been thinking of doing the same thing, though can't see much use for advanced level in my current job

dreamweaver is fantastic i have used it on all my sites
it is simple to use (well most of it) and it is very intuitive, if you can use photoshop the dreamweaver will be no problem (i have some photoshop and dreamweaver tuition pdf's if you want them)
because of my disability i doubt i will need the skills for work and want them for my personal acheivment more than anything else
the only program i havnt used (significantly anyway) is Quark

Found out it wasn't Mr Fluffy after all - turns out it was our other Mr Fluffy, Shadow (he's a real cute Russian Blue cross)!
Somehow the Catflap had fastened shut so the cats that were outside (Tinkerbell and Mab) couldn't get in and the ones that were inside (Shadow and Tom) couldn't get out - Shadow went and laid another great steamer in the Sunroom (by the plug for the Mac, so we had to be very carefull cleaning up!) he ran off with a very sheepish look on his face!

Well done, congratulations and/or commiserations depending on how you feel about it. No doubt we can expect self pitying drunken ramblings from you later along the lines of, "I loved that woman *sniffle, stagger* the bitch, hope she rots in hell" Followed by a punch into the air spinning you round so that you fall upon your arse and land on a small dog - havoc and barking all round.:D

dreamweaver is fantastic i have used it on all my sites
it is simple to use (well most of it) and it is very intuitive, if you can use photoshop the dreamweaver will be no problem (i have some photoshop and dreamweaver tuition pdf's if you want them)
because of my disability i doubt i will need the skills for work and want them for my personal acheivment more than anything else
the only program i havnt used (significantly anyway) is Quark
If you could whiz the pdfs over yoda, that'd be excellent
email Mitch (south-east-region@mag-uk.org) and if you need any advice about Quark, give me a buzz.
I find after so long using Quark for designing pages and adverts, I only use Word for typesetting as I find it too limiting (even though It's got all this fancy bells and whistles on it!!)
better still send me your address as i have just got hold of a 3.6gb dvd on photoshop cs with movie tuitions(i will send you a copy)...its pretty cool

That's no worries about the leaflets, they can be replaced, but that's where the anglegrinder is as well!! in the carrier bag, along with all the disks
Rob's dad is going to wonder why his anglegrinder stinks of cat pee!!!

Three questions - hmmm. too much for one day - meanwhile chaos ensues at Black Dog House...

Unless these people are 'realy good freinds' (is it posible to have good freinds who would do this ?), I'd report the bastids !!!
I know it means getting involved, but I detest animal cruelty, almost as much as I hate child abuse
CALM DOWN !!!!!!!!!
Oh, yeah , right !!
Let's face it , if they can leave the dogs locked in for a week,I hope they don't have children..................

Yickes, dont get me wrong, there's been a neighbour letting them out twice a day (not that I believe that is sufficient) but its the constant barking thats doing me head in. No sign of em coming back yet though :(

too bloody busy to be on here....
sorting the crap that appears to have accumulated in the loft.
I found a pair of jamo speakers that i forgot I had, wired them up and now the neighbours really really really think i'm barking mad cos I played the goodies, very loud and did the funky gibbon in the back garden. :D
Fantasizing about killing my boss.
