Having passed my city and guilds in bodywork, and spending many years as a commercial artist, I wanna turn my hand to custom painting.

If any of you guys or gals need a custom paint job, drop me a line with your ideas and I'll work out a rough price.

Unfortunately I haven't got any tank work to show at the minute, so if you don't like the job I do I'll give you your money back, minus cost of materials.

You can check out some of the work I've done in the comic book field by clicking here: SEEKA COMIX (http://www.seeka-comix.com/gallery.html)

I charge cost for paints and can do pearls, metallics, candies, etc. Trad flame designs, tribal work, or a one off design to suit your personality. I'll also do repair work if your tank has a few dents etc.

I just want to build up a folio of work so I can get a website and maybe move into the area professionally.

If you don't have a tank, I can supply Highway Hawk 3.3 Gallon twin cap mustangs at 100 quid each (unpainted). I can also get hold of YAMAHA VIRAGO XV535 FUEL TANKs FOR DUMMY TANK MODEL at the same price. Tanks are brand new and include caps.

VIRAGO TANK GIVES ADDITIONAL 9 LITRES (2 GALLONS OF ADDITIONAL FUEL RANGE TO THE YAMMY XV535 ONLY FITS DUMMY TANK PRE 1990 MODELS KIT INCLUDES A FUEL TAP AND ADDITONAL FUEL PIPE AND TEE ADAPTOR!!

Buy a tank from me and I'll give you a discount on the paint job. If you're looking for a cheap way to get a cool tank, help me to help you. :)

I'm a huge feldman fan so that would be a pleasure. I'm thinking something like keeping the overall camo colour of your tank but having Marty peering out from a tear on the top. It would need to be clearcoated though, have you any objection to losing the matt effect? If you do, I should be able to get hold of some matt laquer for about 15 quid extra.

Also, have you thought about colour? The original film was black and white but I could put a transparent sepia tone over the top to give it an old movie look and still blend in with the original colours scheme of your bike.

For a simple portrait, tank top only, plus clearcoat, I could do it for about 75-90 quid, plus paint costs and postage. If you want a complete respray we'll have to talk a little extra. Btw, do you need any lettering, logos, etc.? How long can you afford to be without your tank for? If I'm on a tight deadline it would be best to get all the reference and paint materials ready before I get it.

Let me know what you think, mate.

the tank is no longer a camo colour. i have done it in ash black mettalic and it is a gloss finish. the bike itself is a 1982 and to be honest i dont want to have as much in the tank as i have in the bike lol. not a bad price tbh and i know a lot of work has to go into it but just this side of the holidays is just a little much for me as well as postage and paint.
thanks for the reply tho and maybe i'll give you a shout around about june/july

No probz HP. I'm actually moving into my new workshop at the minute, although it won't be completely assembled for about a month, and the warmer months would be a lot kinder to the paint process.

I'm actually painting a tank, and the panels, for my GS550L at the mo and I've got a couple more smaller jobs to take care of, so after the holidays will probably fit my schedule better too.

I'm also trying to get a catalogue for an HOK (House of Kolor) distributor in the UK. You'll see their paints on American Thunder, American Chopper, and Biker Build off, and hopefully I should be able to buy in larger quantities and cut the cost of the paint a little.
