Got back from the Midway at lunchtime, great rally as usual but a bit of an odd weekend for me.
Left Friday afternoon on my mates Bandit cos mines knackered, had a great Friday night but had to leave at 06.30 in the morning on Saturday to go to work (LIncolnshire to Suffolk !).
By the time I finished work on Saturday it was grey and drizzly so I thought I'd wimp out and take the van up with me instead.
Got there to find that one of our club members had hurt her back so Sunday morning my missus took her home in my van.
The downside of this is that as I'd turned up in the van I had no lid, no jacket and no leather jeans.
Couldn't wear her lid cos it was to small so we did a bit of in club lid swapping which left me with her husbands open face Lazer lid which he wears on his cruiser, I had a pair of cammo trousers on and her jacket which was way to small so i put a fleece top over the top.
The point of this is that I'd like to aplogise to any body who may have driven off the road thru laughing too much as this fat bearded bloke with an open face lid on (with streaming eyes), fleece top and light cammo trousers came screaming past them screaming swearing his head off and going blue with first stage hypothermia on a blue and yellow SV650.
I must have looked absolutely bloody ridiculous !!
Still, made for an interesting weekend.
Has to be said that the SV650 is an absolutely cracking bike !
