Evening all,

Anyone know where to buy a decent german style m/c helmet please as the ones I've seen for sale around the UK net seem pretty naff

Are you looking for the real thing real thing or just a replica?

If it's the real deal then you need to go to an antiques fair or look online. But you'd be surprised at the cost of them. Even a real tatty jobbie could set you back a ton maybe less if you look hard enough. Might be worth a try on the German Ebay.de?

Otherwise it's looking on websites like Silverman's or other army surplus websites.

There is a mob in Glasgow that manufacture replicas, far better than the naff Chinese ones. I'll see if I can find their address

Friar it's the m/c ones that peeps use these days on there bikes/trikes not the genuine ones I'm looking for.
I've seen the DOT approved one's on eBay it only from the usa

I've never seen a UK approved one for sale. Most are just crap plastic that wouldn't take a knock.

I'd never risk my pea sized brain and wear a naff helmet just to look cool

Found a couple, just doing a bit more research and asking on a few yank sites before I commit :-)

I think your best bet is to try the antique fairs......
