View Full Version : Searching for who built this cafe racer

I just wanted to see if anyone from 100%Biker knows who built this Cafe Racer Yamaha XV1000.I've hopefully attached some pics of it to this post.

It was on ebay the other week where i came across it, see the link below:

but I missed out on being able to bid for it. The seller didn't know much about the previous owner or its history other than he thought it was built by someone down in Sussex. I've googled custom bike builders but had no luck sourcing the bike or its builders.

So was just wondering have you guys come across this bike before, know who built it, or know anyone who can or does build these bikes up to this standard?

Long shot I know but I thought i might ask and see if anyone can help or give us some clues…

Do get in touch

you must have lots of money wanting to pay that for that type of bike.
suppose cafe racers are the in thing that people want not..

plenty of builders out there that could customise a bike for your needs.
try google.

cx500's have been done, whats next.

think i better get a cheap bike and strip it to that level

Looks like a"bike shed"type build. Maybe you'll get some info from their website as to which builder/bike co built it

This one was for sale, I'm sure they could build you one like it.

Those pictures were taken at Wessons cafe in Horam, East Sussex, so it might have been built by Hard Up Choppers who operate from there.

If you download the image and upload it into googles image search google will look for websites using that image or similar ones.

I'll follow up some of those leads and see where I end up. I've been into cafe racers for over 10 years….and yeah it is fashionable at the mo but like a lot of us out there i just like the bikes and don't care whats in and whats out…

thanks everyone , happy save riding…..
