Long story cut short
Bloke at work Brought it new rode it round a bit then stuck it in the multi story at work ! Was sat there about 3 years then he got sacked and lives miles away phoned me 6 months later saying he can't get a job etc and asked if I paid a couple of bills for him I could take the bike as payment send me the v5 and keys and it's a deal I say !! Not expecting anything and presuming he was high lol
1 week later keys and v5 come through the post I pay a few bills order a battery and spark plugs and hay presto I have my dream bike !!
Stands me at £500 so fat:thumbsu::thumbsu:

It sounds too good to be true..I suppose you checked that there is no outstanding payment due on it..

If not..well done on a great deal.

John.

Sometimes people are just stupid!

Not a bike story but years ago (many, many years ago) I had a Morris Minor, and as I was getting married, and back then you didn't have two cars in one family, I sold it to a workmate of my fiancé. He bashed all four corners as he was a useless parker, and he never put any oil in it so the engine seized. It was parked outside his house but then the tax ran out so he got someone to tow it to their work car park. After a while someone noticed that it never moved and asked him to remove it. He asked my then hubby what to do about it and Ray jokingly said "I'll take it off your hands for a fiver"

"Would you?" he said "that would be great! "

So Ray did - sorted out the bashed corners, dropped in a secondhand engine bought cheap, sold it again for - well I dunno how much but it paid for our holiday!

Wouldn't even know where to start mate

Start by running it down to House of Custom in Clydebank, they may even be familiar with it. Helpful bunch in there.
