I was the second person on the original guest book (number one being stu, the editor). Have been here since day one. I very rarely agree with Rob, but that doesn't make him a bigot, no more than it makes me a softy Liberal. Disagreement is not a problem here, just the way some peeps react to a statement is. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion and at least here we have have freedom of speech (within obvious constraints, such as Libel laws etc). As bikers we are segregated and discriminated against enough, without fighting each other. I don't necessarily agree with certain views aired on this forum, but I would fight for the right for those peeps to express themselves.

Nope, just feckin OOOOOOOLLLLLD!! Been there, fought for it, got fucked over.... At the end of the day we are all different, but we are all bikers, that's all that counts in my book.

Too right bud, you see this approach at rallies where we have the chance to catch up and put the world to rights. i get that feeling here which is just the reason i love it so much.

Thank you, kind sir! Always good to hear other peeps opinions. Remember asking a Jamaican dude if he would take up Enoch Powells offer of £2,000 to go home (in the nicest possible way of course). He said if he was single, he would and have a good easy life, but he had kids and wanted them to get a good education.
I grew up in Brixton in the 50's and 60's and worked in Balham (known locally as Balhama Desh, due to the large asian population) with the Gas Board. I guess I am intrested in the human condition and try and look past colour, race or religion, just as I hoped peeps would look past my leathers and see ME. Funny enough, back in the 60's a lot of peeps did as most guys and some women had ridden bikes during and after the war, so a kind of kindred spirit was around at that time. Somehow that bond with the public has been broken, probably due to the fact that cars are plentiful and cheap. Amongst ourselves, that spirit remains, because we choose to be what we are..... Bikers. We are a breed apart from the car drivers (though many of us also drive, through choice or necessity) and they will never understand what we have or why. Like I've said before, the closest you will come to the biking fraternity is the armed forces, where we all have to watch each others backs and fight for what we believe in. Though I have never been in myself, you can see by the amount of ex-forces guys on here, that I am (probably) right. Look forward to seeing all the guys and gals in Blackpool, Ride safe Y'all.....

Jonny,

there are pics of the first forum party in some magazine somewhere that show the riotous events in glorius technicolour. That'd tell you who the original members were...

for a start off, there was me and Mrs R, Pat (obviously), Mr Chaz, Danny, Fayji, EwockandTuck, Coach (and his demon pulling pants!!), Jim, Santa, Forest Fred, Big Al... brain's gone nuts at this point, may try and dig the magazine out later or can anyone else enlighten me further?

it's funny that the forum went down terminally on the day of the Forum Party as no-one remembered where exactly they were going (we went completely in the wrong direction after we got off the motorway!!) but all got there in the end (including Mrs R on the ZL600 from hell that not even Mr Chaz could fix).

I sort of stumbled on this here forum after the demise of the old AWOL/BSH/Streetfighters forum. I think Sheltie was also an Asylum Seeker from there as well.

I, unfortunately had to leave the First Forum Doo, as my Dad decided to to do a purler arse over tit, and end up in casualty! the missus phoned me saying all sorts of things in a panic, so I had to get back home smartish, thinking that He'd really gone and done it proper this time. So after a three hour trip home, I only go and find him at home with Mum and the Missus, right as rain apart from a lovely egg on his bonce!

The missus only says to me "Ooh, you needn't have come home!" Silly cow could've phoned me1 I really missed the best part of that doo! Coach picking up that bint that sort of colapsed and had to have the medics called!

Talking of Coach, where is the Old bugger?

Oh Yeah, and I have Mitch and Mrs. R to thank for introducing me to Cheesy chips! I can totally say that Cheesy Chips are the ultimate gastronomic delight I've ever had!

As for the Ewokandtuck Institute for the Criminally Inane and Trading Emporium. This was spawned from the very first Agony column thread started here on this forum (not sure whether it was this version or the first one before some pillock started to hack into it and play silly buggers! Shame that as the first version had a chat room!), whereby Drs Ewok and Tuck dispensed sound advice to all and sundry for a nominal fee! Unfortunately, Forest Fred, has yet to settle his account!

Actually as Pat knows, there was a Forum do before the Oxford one. There was one at the Farmyard Party in '03 (I think that was the year). Can't remember all participants, but I believe Sheltie, Turtle (where is she now?) and many others, who have been lost in the mists of alcahol, were there.

I was on the old forum too, trouble is my memory is shutting down regularly now and I can't remember what it even looked like!

I think I just typed in 100% biker on google for some reason, to see if there was a website and found this some time later!

Bizarrely I feel I should be thanking a forum, for the chance to meet some great people! :D

I never made the first forum do, forgot where it was!

I have met loads of great people since and hope to meet many more.

We'd last spoke in 1994 when I moved to Folkestone, the PFJ MCC (which we were both in) was still going and I had a CB650 then... and a bit less hair...

- The CB ended up getting dumped in our hedge after the clutch basket went, swapped that for the XS750, that went arse-upwards electrically soon after that so a year later, I ended up being without a bike and any decent mates - for the next 4 years or so. Feck knows how I managed to lose touch with Grav though

Mrs R couldn't believe it when I mentioned I'd found one of my old mates after all these years.

Anyway, here's to making up for lost time!
