Hi. I am thinking of ditching the standard air filter on my 400 eliminator trike for K&N's or similar. Does any-one know what size I would need? I have also seen bikes with small ali bell shaped filters, where can I get some of these from? Any idea by how many sizes I should increase my jets by?

Much more trouble than it's worth!! Plus it'll cost you over £200 for a dynojet kit and pod filters, not including getting them set up properly. Why do you want to do it anyway?

Well I gathered that much, but realistically even if he gains 10% in performance, it'll be a lot of money for a small gain. If it's to help with access to the carbs, I've worked on a 600 Eliminator and know what a pain it is to remove and refit the carbs. But if the carbs are ok, then they shouldn't need removing for several years anyway.
If it's running ok, then leave it alone. If it's running shite, then fix the problem. If there's too much money burning a hole in your pocket (or pod filters and a jet kit are the only solution), then carry on!

Some good arguments there against getting the pods. My thoughts were they may give me a little more power but it would probably be so little I would not notice, my second thought was they look good. I will ponder the matter a little more before rushing into anything as I dont have a wadge of money burning a hole in my pocket.
