Hi,I'm Barny, was from near Pontypridd but now living in Bulgaria, been and still am a biker of 35 years,on and off lol,due to accidents/health.
I'd like to keep in touch and especially for old friends to contact me.I'll leave it at that for now,as a new member, and perhaps emlighten you all a little more later if interested.
Anyone want advise about living in Bulgaria or visiting, maybe a club run tomy garden lol its a couple o acres, then give us a shout, its only 3000 kms and a great ride....Weather fantastic from April till November.

Welcome to the forum..
First let me make it quite clear that I will not ever be coming to Bulgaria because I am not allowed out of the country...Well perhaps that is not quite true, but because I upset people everywhere I go people are waiting for me to leave the country so that they can lock the gates behind me and never let me back in..
However I am curious as to how you got to Bulgaria and how much it cost you..also what restrictions are there on everyday life, how do you make a living, how long did it take to learn the language, and what do you do for a living.
John.

Hi John Tredegar ( i guess you know Ritchie ?)
Ok its approx 1800 miles or 3000 kms,and approx 3 days to 4 travelling, theres several ways to get here by road, mainly 3,thats France,Belgum,Germany,Austria, hungary,Romania (or Serbia) Bulgaria,or theres the Italy to the foot/toe,ferry to Greece across Greece via Thessaloniki onto Kavala cut up through mountains into Bulgaria or carry on along coast to nearly Turkey then take a left lol and then Bulgaria
(Italy can be France.Switzerland or to Germany again and cut down through pass into Italy)
I've retired early....i dont work here at mo,except for renovating one of my houses, finished one, half way through this one i'm in,and have another 2 to either do,or sell on...very cheap.
There are NO restrictions on me while living here,in fact i have far more freedom here than i did in Wales or UK for that matter, and Bulgaria is in the EU,i have lived here 4 years now and love it,all the old BIG rock bands tour here, theres loads o clubs and bikers, the weather is fantastic, being the same as Turkey and Greece, but with hardly any traffic, only 8 million live in the whole country! and 30% still have wooden carts ...hardly any traffic lights or jams,a few speed cameras recently brought in,and mobile radar traps (thanks EU )
A beer is 50p and a pack o cigs £2,council tax £10 ! and a house with half acre from £4000 needing loads of work,i live within a 2 hour drive of 3 seas, having a choice of Bulgaria,Turkey or Greece.
The banks pay up to 10% interest so living of my savings and house sale, and living in luxury, having a chop,4x4 and campervan, glad to leave the rat race,to be honest.
