Mobile sites are actually printed in the local paper (Chron and echo) on a daily basis. The average speed cameras on the Talavera Way are forward facing and only work in the fast lane. Doh! :D :D :D

Northampton also has motorcycle mounted cameras, so if you are in the area, Beware!. They sit at the side of the road with a tarp with the speed camera sign on it and mout the camera on a stand by the bike. It is very hard to spot. I only noticed it because it was in a village that I travelled through every week and so it stood out. With the tarp round the front wheel of the bike, from a distance it looks like a concrete post or pile of rubble, the only clue is the hi-vis clothing of the copper. It has been used near Santa Pod, so if you do the speedfreaks be careful.......

well in North Wales they have started using Ford Galaxy's, you know a pepole carrier with tinted windows all round i believe its equipped with a motion camera in the front and to the rear of the vehicle!
They had pulled a car driver over in towyn on saturday evening, it had hidden blue flashing lights in the front grille

They are the average speed cameras on Talevera Way (next to my estate) and they only work in the fast lane or if you pass two of them. There are four altogether (each side) Coming from Kettering, The first set are just off the Round Spinney Roundabout in the dip before the left hand junction. The next two are just before and just after the next roundabout and the last set are just past the Weston Favell shopping Centre as you come up from the dip under the footbridge. As I say at 2 am you can do a ton as long as you stay in the inside lane (watch the middle roundabout as twats sail out without slowing or looking, especially mini-cabs) though 60-70 is more usual.
You will see them mounted on blue poles with an arm over each carriageway, not to be confused with the blue traffic monitoring cameras.
