hi, i am triking a honda 500cx sports at the mo and i was wondering how to do the prop shaft, i have taken a reliant axel with a pro on for the back end and the cx has its own prop, what i would like to know (please) is how to attach the reliant prop to the engine.
ie, will the reliant prop go strait on to the engine,or will i have to have them specially welded together from a engineer type chappie.

if i can do it myself, has anyone got any diagrams..

thankyou

I did the same sort of thing with a virago. what i did was to cut the original shaft of the virago off then grind around the weld of the reliant prop and take the front spline out. Then placed in the lathe and machined the reliant spline off and drilled a hole in the centre of the what youv'e got left to take the virago front prop and welded it all back together taking great care to make sure you get it lined up straight. The one i've done works a treat i hope this is of some help as i'm not to good of putting stuff down in writing. Best of luck :)

we do basically the same as max. except we turn a slug to fit into the reliant prop, which is bored out to take the bikes driveshaft :)
