Back from the Bofs

well i just got back from the BOF's rally and i was cracking (As usual)
met up with garry and Lynn (very nice to meet you both)
where was everyone else?
i would post piccies but my camera was bust (my daughter was the last to use it so she is dead GRRRRR)
hope you all had a good weekend

and Pat what is the story of rick and lidls (garry and lynn wouldnt tell me)

:( :( I didnt make it cos Shaggy woke up this morning with a really bad throat so he was going nowhere (men !! always dieing when they got a cold ffs !!)

Then he descided he'd sleep throughout the day, so there was me frantically trying to phone Yoda to say I'd come on my own and would he meet me there (us girlies dont like going anywhere alone, well I done anyway) , but was too late in the day by the time I finally got hold of him, cos my visiting relatives from Scicily are going back tomorrow ,so had to do the duteifull night before visit to say goodbye.

if you looked round the bikes, mine was the red yam chop with the gold bits on the tank. n i was wearing a leather waistcoat wiv a clowns head patch on it, n a yam patch on the opposite side
plus i thought the Bof rally was a bit lifeless meself

the rally did seem a bit quieter this year (which was a blessing for me as i was in a chillin' mood)
i was the only guy in a wheelchair there so if you remember seeing a wheelybin it was me (as i wasn't camping (i live round the corner :-)) i mainly stayed round the beer tent/stalls area).

Yes they are a nice crowd we triker are ya now . But there is allways the problem of the deamon drink . But thanks for the update, its nice to know that they behaved them selfs out side the tent at least ?. :cool:

No I know I cant bloody spell it either...
Well it happened like this...
Rik and I had had a rather stressful week, ending with a rather difficult day, we were late getting ready for the rally (cant remember which one) we decided to call into THAT shop for groceries for the weekend on the way.
I was approaching the checkout with me little trolly(Rik is too much of a man to EVER push a trolly) he was half a dozen steps in front and got to said checkout when, a blokie saw me heading in behind Rik and nipped in smartish to get in front of me. SAD bastard! Rik saw this happen and just gently reached round the other bloke and pulled my trolly in front, saying something like 'c'mon babe' the silly blokie then gave Rik a disgusted look and turned away saying 'WANKER' very clearly and loud! Before I knew it , Rik has the idiot by the throat pushed up against the bog rolls! ( did I mention he was slightly stressed!) It took me a while to persuade him it wasnt worth chinning the bugger, and we would be even later for the rally if he got arrested! Meanwhile the security guard had arrived, he was all of seventeen years old, spots, bumfluff and very very scared.... " Please dont make me eject you from the store sir....." Laugh I nearly wet myself, this was the thing that actually made Rik calm down enough to let me get him outta there!
Funny thing was there was an old couple just leaving who were so excited and couldnt wait to get home to tell their friends about the punchup in Lydls, most exciting thing that had happened to them in years!!

on the subject of Lidls
when i had my old suspension wheelchair i used to get into lidls under the trolley bar by leaning back in my chair...which worked very well
UNTIL
i bought a brand new (posh titanium) Chair and when i went to lidls next i did the same thing, but as i had the chair made to be a bit more 'Tippier' than the other i forgot and ended up flat on my back (my 13yr old daughter was with me and she ran away laughing) luckily i was obscured from all the people in the queue by some bean tins and only a couple of other people seen it, i managed to get back in the chair and wheeled round all red faced.

Thought the bands on Saturday were particularly good even managed a bop or two myself. :)
