Hi, I have joined the forum on behalf on son Antony who is ex biker and now keen triker. He has been 'doing up' a vmax 1200 circa 1987. He has hit quite a few snags but getting there. I suggested these boards and he'll be looking himself in the next day or so. Hope so anyway because I don't know what I'm talking about. (Although I'm learning as I'm going along). He dictates and I type.

For just a moment there I thought..be careful what you say John, this is a Mum...then I thought..Nah..this is a woman..we have lots of them on this forum..lovely things..had one myself once..
So Barb..is that short for Barbie..are you a living doll...tell us where you live by filling in the User CP up there on the left so that we can take the piss out of your town or call in for a cuppa...and have you ever been a biker yourself, or just a bikers chick..
Nice to see you here, welcome to the forum..read a few of the posts before you settle in to see if we are your sort of folk and if we aren't no hard feelings..
As said on your other post for help..vmaxchat..is a forum for Vmax owners including trikes, they eat sleep and talk all kind of Vmax and they are very friendly and helpfull, they never say shit and they meet up once a year and even have trikes..
That doesn't mean you have to leave here..It's like boyfriends..you can have more than one.
John.

Thanks to all for very lively replies. Very amusing. Regrettably I'm not a biker or trikers' moll, babe, doll or whatever. Past that stage.
Don't think I mentioned in my intro that Antony is dyslexic so easier for him to have someone else do the spade work of reading and writing; though can manage for himself when he has to. He is also a disabled biker, a result of a motorbike accident a long time ago, hence his move to trikes.
He is a good mechanic and is re-building and re-designing the trike to suit his special needs.
Barb
ps Thanks for the info on the vmaxchat forum

We have disabled and dyslexic bikers on here he should fit right in...Though maybe you should have told us earlier and we would have tried to be more helpfull..The Vmax chat site is still your best bet for Vmax advice and where to get spares but as a general rule we have some of the best bike mechanics in the world on here..so come back when you are ready..you and Anthony are very welcome.
