i have 2 pairs of these red baron goggles for sale, you can pay between 18.00 and £23.00
for them plus shipping
to forum members £16.00 inc shipping.
they are not ce approved lenses (will not stop a 303 bullet from a sopworth camel)
the lenses are uv400 and 100% antifog so have a slight tint, they are padded frames, so very comfortable .
payment via nochex is fine as is cheque, if you have a plastic card i'll send you a nochex invoice and you fill in the details, you do not have to register.

on another note i have received a couple of calls from people who are obviously guests here, not members, asking if they get same discount, in short, no you don't.
pat,100%biker and the forum members make no fuss about me advertising on here, the discount is my way of giving something back.
plus to the two people who tried to pass themselves off as members, firstly i have spoken to yoda so i knew you were not him and secondly if your trying that one on make sure you at least know the sex of the person you are attempting to pass yourself off as :(
oh it says here that they are highly recommended for people with trikes with exceedingly wide wheels as they will protect your eyes when the guy whose foot you just run over smacks you one :D

Dracken1, I have a question for you - I have a big head for a woman, runs in the family. It is probably all the concentrated fluff in there :) Anyhow, every faceless helmet I've tried on makes me look like a comedy act (woman with fish bowl for head) where can I get a helmet that doesn't do this for summer riding?

i have always had open faced helmets. tried a full face once but it just did'nt feel right. i bought my current goggles from heine gerricke and i paid rather more than what dracken is asking. the only thing i've found wth goggles is they can steam up in cold weather.drilling some little holes in them to allow for some air circulation sorted this.

thats a prob with most open face helmets i'm afraid mrs r. most do make you look like you got your head stuffed into a double duvet.

the roof boxer helmets are very good in that dept. you can look like an alien, or flip the chin piece all the way over the back, or remove it completely.

as an openfaced helmet they are not huge, but it seems you need a certain shaped head to fit one (it seems i have)so you do need to try one.

FROM THE LANCET:::shock horror, a man used a 6" long drill bit to make air circulation holes in his goggles, whilst still wearing them, surgeons said "its the first diy frontal labotomy we've seen

so that was you :D

Also I think because of all the safety aspect, the manufacturers have to put that much padding in the new helmets the open face ones make you look like a gerbil. I have to wear an XL or size 61 helmet ( I think because of my huge brain ), and with a modern open faced one I do actually look like a spaceman, whereas with my 15 year old hat with the leather type padding it doesn't quite look as bad.
