isnt it always the way, get a bit of money saved for a rainy day etc and a bargain comes along just when you least expect it, too good to miss, but not really something that you need!!
rung a bike shop to enquire about some bits etc, then thought I would ask about any bikes that they had, cheapys etc
conversation gets around to the fact that they have an unfinished project sat around the workshop, thousands spent on it, but needs seat, wiring and paint to finish, builder has gone abroad to live and just wants rid
£900 OH what to do??, reckon it took all of about 30 seconds for my brain to work out who could do what on it for me and ask if he could deliver it to me :)
looks like will be busy in the garage with this new project for the coming months, cant wait :) :)
that is excellent news maste
we expect to see it finished before next week

LOL, thing is theres a chance it might be LOL
last project that I carted back here from essex in the back of the missus car, unloaded it into the garage, and was 17 hours before I went into the house LOL, but the engine did start and run very well, and all the lights etc worked by then, sadly it was a brit engine and running open pipes, I started it up at 3:30 in the morning LOL
this new one is a cycle haven frame, with a slight gooseneck, lots of trellis style reinforcing etc, slab yokes, zephr 1100 engine, and the exhaust system sounds really odd, but maybe nice, who knows?? apparantly the four downpipes go into a sort of bellypan/can in front of the engine and then a pipe exits this to the back of the bike
will have some pics etc sorted soon, but the builder seems to have spent a fortune on it, didnt have a CDi for it so bought a new one £450!!!!
he was NCC so should all be pretty mad, just hope that I can finish it off and do it justice, but pretty certain that I can :)

wont have my digicam for a couple of days as wife gone off with it to a wedding, will maybe do a simple little website with pics etc and progress of it, save this site the bandwidth, and also maybe build it with the input of some of the more experienced bulders etc from this site

well a couple of mates think Im barmy for buying a bike unseen but then I was never one to let logic lead me, I can make something out of anyhting so why not have a gamble and see what lady luck deals me
well just got a couple of pics of the bike, not quite what I was going to build, but with a few changes, ie already planned is the goodbye to the rear end, will have shorter shocks, single seat with shorty guard, front forks will be droppped through the yokes a bit to lower the front end, maybe later will get shorter forks( but the legs are 6" overs and brand new so shame to waste them)
the petrol tank is the main cause of discussion in my house at the moment, fist impression was UUUGGGHH!!!!, but then it wasnt so bad, maybe will try another couple of tanks, maybe somehting a little longer with a more swoopy shape, try to make the top rail look a little lower at the rear??
actually that maybe a lie, as the exhaust is now the main area of discussion, the front pipes are with the bike as is the brakes and all other bits etc, but really not too sure about the exhaust, it seems to be a marmite thing at the moment, 2 of us love it and 3 of us hate it, so will have to wait and see if it stays in the final build
so off to buy some black smoothrite to paint it all with just to keep the rust off while its built for a run around , and then time to really spend some money :( LOL
who knows, but first plan is to build it up, MOT it and ride it around , anyhting that falls off isnt needed, and other things that get in the way will be cut off!!

well the bike arrived today, with a bit of work will be a very nice bit of kit, really wasnt too keen on the slab yokes, bit too narrow for my liking, looked underneath and is stamped with kooter browns :) some antiques on my my bike :)
