tried and failed due to stem differences, has anyone ever stuck a USD front end from a J model ZXR750, into a ZXR750 H1 frame,?? if so how? what stem did you use, and anyone know a decent man who can knock up a one off stem?

get an engineer to sleeve your stem mate
i put an r1 front end in a gpz1100 hardtail chop frame using this method
sleeve it where it fits in the bottom yolk:thumbsu::thumbsu:

i was thinking of using, the existing fat stem thats in there as a sleeve, cos the H1 stem slides inside it, would it be safe enough? would need a mil or 2 taking off the base of the H1 stem, then have that pressed inside the fat thing, after chopping the fattter stem off, where it clears the yokes, is that feasible??:confused::confused:

I've done this when converting a klr600 headstock/stem to zxr750 upsidedownies. I got a snap ring at the bottom of the klr stem so (after measuring) cut thr zxr stem level with the yoke and pressed the 600 stem into it, works a treat and all the materials involved are meant to be:thumbsu:
