Hi guys I'm new to this forum jobby but im in need of a bit of advice.
As you can see in my profile pic im building a '49 BSA A7 plunger based custom and I've fitted a sportster front end and wheel. As i picked the front end up at an autojumble i need advice on the year and model of the forks so i can get the correct disc/caliper. Any Harley buffs able to help?
p.s its a single disc set up

Cheers, Im hoping to have it done by summer and ill be sure to post more pics along the way.
I know that theres probably a whole bunch of harley calipers that will fit but Im struggling to find a nice one that isnt massive or costs a squillion quid from custom chrome/zodiac so i might just stick a different caliper on and make an adaptor plate.

The early Suzuki Nissin 4 pots were a popular conversion. If you shout up, someone may even have templates. I aint the right person to talk to about Harley interchangeability lol

OK cheers if its popular that would suggest its quite an easy job which suits me, Ive got a sheet of 1/4" ally so I could soon knock up an adaptor plate, just need to find out which disc i need now!

i would say that front end is from the mid 90's to 2005 ive only said that because ive had a variety of sportys between them years and they look the same maty.

Yeah Id tend to agree from looking at pictures etc I was just wanting to check harley didnt change caliper sizes etc during the production run. I know a lot of harley stuff is interchangable but it would be just my luck to buy a duff caliper
