No TV sounds like a good idea. I don't have one in my room, but the house has a communal one I sometimes watch.

only 1 problem there as i found out few years back when we didnt have a tv.

if you own a pc - they can still take ya to court if u dont have a licence. not sure about radios ( it used to cover both)
