Is there a lazy man's way of stripping all the old paint from calipers (1980s GS1000 in this case)?
I've done previous calipers with a toothbrush and paint stripper in the nooks and crannies, and bits of sandpaper wrapped round various size screwdrivers! I just don't have the spare time at the moment and need these done so I just wondered if there's something you can just dip the whole caliper in and....er .... it comes out all clean and ready to paint......um........ I'm dreaming aren't I !!!
Any interesting methods anyone has used would be welcome.
Cheers.

nitromors..use it as a dip for about 30 mins then wear rubber gloves to remove any deep cracks with a wire brush..if about 10 coats repeat.

As above. Remove old seals etc and strip as best you can. Refit with new seals and stainless pistons and you'll never need to worry about them again.

As Strima says take anything that isn't metal off otherwise it will give it an uneven non removable black coating..Nitromors disolves plastic, rubber, tar, and skin..
