Is the hondamatic the automatic gearbox one?
I've got a normal 400 superdream sat under the leanto, but its manual gears.

yep semi auto thing it is.
why do you want one of them, they were pants, mate had one of the 400's it ate 3 torque converters one after the other and at £350 + each (that was 9 years ago) they were not cheap.

Got one leg have my kliktronic on the bmw.
Fancy something just to blat about on some days walking can be a challenge and the bmw is a heavy old beast.
Dont get me wrong I am open minded I do have a spare kliktronic and a cruiser would be ideal legs out low seat height but also bit skint hence the project bit.
Did not realis ethey are so unreliable though:eek:

You could look at a Suzuki Burgman, I might have spelled that wrong I am used to calling them burgervans..An automatic scooter up to 650cc and will be more reliable than an old banger without the expense of doing it up..

my mate, who had one eye and one leg switched to a Burgman after many years of driving Brits with the foot controls switched to favour his one "good" leg. Nutter. Could easily exceed the speed limit on the slip road onto the A2. So rumour has it.
why not do a hand operated gear lever ( long rod attached to the gear lever) with a clutch lever on it, sort of suicide clutch but not so suicide.
Then you wouldnt need to swap the klick tronic and wouldnt be after an auto, with the parts infront of you about 30 mins work.

Seen those cf moto's just not sure what I make of em..
I do like scooters And will often use 125cc for running about on saved getting the big bikes out for daft things like shop hopping. And a hundred miles on a £5 who can argue with that.
Had a few shots and buying big ones but they always fetch £800 and up and thats proper bike money to me if I could get one cheap enough defo would.
When I build my next chop I will probably do the suicide clutch setup again but that wont be for a while.
Trail bikes are good plenty leg room and nice and light but again bit pricey at mo.
Whatever it is I end up with it wil be a twin or single I think to save weight.

scooters. yes save money on fuel, only to spend it on tyres as they go around very fast and wear out quicker :D and little potholes turn into ravines;)

You had it long? I recall it as a cover bike for Another Custom Bike Magazine .... it was the inspiration for my ride way back then. It's had a few different guises but .... here it is now.

Yes, I built it. Well I took all the bits to Flav & had the frame, exhaust & yokes made(I'm no engineer). got it home and finished it off, thats over simplified, but you get the idea I can take things apart & put things to gether.
It was in BSH about 10 years ago. Still get a big grin when I ride it.
I like you'r bike.

Thanks :) I've had this about the same amount of time. Started off as a GS thou with standard running gear but lowered seat rails, single top tube, custom tank, stubby rear tailpiece and stainless side panels. Now evolved to what you see up there. It was bright blue with yellow wheels at one point but I got sick of cleaning it! Besides, thought the new outfit kinda suits :)
What caught me was the bruiser lump with the single sider, squat and purposeful. Neither a chop or a fighter. The FJ still looks well!
