got really annoyed with a bunch of armchair polititians in the pub last night.
firstly they are praising the goverment for standing behind the no smoking lobbies.
then they are complaining about the cost of fuel.
are people really so thick/blind/trusting. to believe that any goverment who
appears to be all for a smoking ban/ maybe even a tobbaco ban. are going to be quite happy to lose the £1000,000's of revenue it brings in?
are they f**k.
they will simply up the duty elsewhere, fuel as it appears may have a 2% increase this year.
i remember one excuse given for raising the cost of fuel was to encourage people to use public transport.
lets face it that is the last thing they really want you to do.
and what public transport?
one car breaks down on the way to work and one or two people are late for work.
a double decker breaking down and there 80 odd people late for work.
there will never be a revelution in this country as the goverment will always keep a high percentage of the population happy.
sorry for ranting but just now and again i do get annoyed.
