Suzuki/reliant trike: new mot and on the road
Chassis: Uses Covered Robin Reliant Chassis rails to midway. Then becomes a traditional motorcycle style frame from the gearbox onwards.
ENGINE: Uses standard engine and manual running gear from a Bedford Rascal Van. Fully serviced last year (including cambelt) and with no known faults or problems.
SUSPENSION: Front forks are FJ1200 fitted to very wide one off alloy slab yokes. Rear suspension is soft tail and uses a reliant robin set up.
BRAKES: Brakes are excellent they feature FJ callipers on adapted mounts (to accept the Harley wheel and discs) Rear brakes are standard Suzuki van drum brakes. Front and rear brakes are linked via a duel circuit master cylinder operated by right hand foot pedal,
WHEELS; Rear wheels are Ford Alloys. Front Wheel is a Wide Harley item. All tyres are near new.
SEAT/HANDLEBARS: Seat has been professional upholstered this year at a cost of £250. Handlebars are a one off build.
This trike features a remote start, talking alarm. The electronics allow the owners to start and run (and turn off) the trike using a remote whilst you are walking towards it (remember to leave it in neutral :eek: ) Its ideal for show offs (like me :p ) & pub car parks, note a traditional ignition key start can also be used.
A tow bar is fitted but is not wired up.
CONDITION AND USE;
Loads of work and money have been spent on this trike, that being said I would describe it as very presentable. The trike was designed to be compact, cheap to run (55MPG), maintain and use. The large rear rack makes it practical. The handling and general ride is at its best though the rush hour traffic and blatting round the lanes and A roads of Sussex.
Price is £2000 form but I may take a pt/ex up to the value of £1000.
The trike comes with a Reliant reg. Document ( it uses a Reliant chassis) new MOT and is ready to ride away. A picture paints a thousand words but Sorry can't get photos to load so you will have to email me (deano4u@supanet.co.uk) and I'll send some.
