Have you ever met anybody famous?

I was in a car park in once and because i had a quite a bit of time left on the ticket, i thought i'd give it to whoever i see come in,....i see a car come in open my window waving the ticket as they approached me, as they rolled down their window i said "do you want this ticket?"...they said thankyou and as he reached out it i saw that it was jeremy Clarkson....

and another time when i was working as a taxi driver in bristol i picked up Goldie Hawn from a hotel...feck me she was tiny...and miserable..

living in a place famous for it's antiques (54 shops at the last count) and with many stars buying big houses in the surrounding villages I get to see quite a number of well known people wondering around my home town. With the exception of Robert Llewellyn (scrapheap challenge) who's nothing short of a headcase., they're all a bunch of whinning, whinging, stuck up, nose in the air, I'm famous therefore better than you TOSSERS. You'd think with all the money they earn that they'd be capable of raising a smile. Not a chance.

Actually I can think of another person who, like Llewellyn, can take a bit of stick and dosn't mind blending in with us natives, in fact she's a bloody good laugh, Zara Philips believe it or not.
Nice arse too :D

Steve Berry walked onto a bike stand at the NEC, I was talking to a couple about bike training. he stood there for about 30 seconds, interrupted the conversation by asking "do you know who i am"??

I said no....do you know who i am?

John Major when he was PM was at the same show, on the same day, a maasive throng of people came through the show and in the middle was himself, I was standing next to a bright yellow moped,he pointed to it and Said "its not British is it, without thinking i said`no they dont do them in grey, saw a couple of his body guards snigger....... all he said was.. oh... and wondered off

Well, there's Lemmy...met him at this rock club in Bradford when he was opening it (with a load of other musos)

Various odd-bods from Jethro Tull, when they were coming out of the theatre in Bradford - just as I'd bought my tickets for their gig that night (they were trying to get directions for this Curry house)

Geoffrey Hayes from Rainbow - minus Bungle and Zippy (thankfully) - at the Piece Hall in Halifax.

... and Denis Healey... Lives down in the next village - was in the local shop (it's his local shop too! :D) btw, his daughter taught Mrs R at School in London

Oh yeah, and Bushey!!! Of the brewery etc.
Me and this girl were at a gig at Leeds Poly back in 1990, it was one of those 'Indie' gigs (Birdland), loads of windmill dancing from me and her at the back behind all the crowd (so we could spread out a bit :D ). We were rolling a couple of joints and we got talking to this bloke, really bushy afro hair-do. Really nice bloke. We got talking about bikes and that (I'd just got into them and had my H100 still), as well as windmilling and he said 'if you're on the Isle of Man look me up!'

I didn't realise who he was until a year or so later, when I saw this thing about the TT! This year I may have to finally take him up on his offer!!!

I ride for Virgin Limobike so I get a lot of celebs wrapping thier legs around me lol. Carol Smilie, Kate Thornton, Girls Aloud :D Paul O'Grady, Laurence Lewellyn-Bowen

Bit miserable though. If young kids are told that they're great by thier management enough times they start to believe it and expect special treatment.

When I was 15 I was crossing London to go to my brothers for the weekend. While on the underground I was staring at this girl/lady, and it suddenly dawned on me that it was Joanna Lumley out of The New Avengers. I recognised her by her hairdo, which hadn't caught on as the latest fashion yet at the time, because it was just the star of the first series. I blurted out that I really liked her in the show, and ended up carrying her bag for her on the underground to Waterloo. Jeez, that bag was heavy! And to cap it all she is a really nice lady!

also met Francoise Pascal From the comedy series "Mind Your Language" Nice tits!

And also Jasper Carrott, Stirling Moss.

When I used to run my own courier business, i had to deliver a package to Ben Elton's flat, he's a miserable git! Also delivered to the BBC Television centre, and walked past Hale and Pace, Bruce Forsyth and Des O'Connor without even realising it until I went to reception to deliver the package ,and the receptionist totally ignored me and smiled sweetly to Brucey saying to him "Good Afternoon Mr. Forsyth!"

Right......Apart from Dennis Healy who is one of our neighbours (a huge exageration as he lives 2 miles away :D ) my son's cousin (my ex-husband's, sister's son) kieran Forsythe is a famous actor what has been in casualty as a mad porter who ends up stalking one of the staff, been in the bill as a villain and in numerous stage productions - I remember him as a snot nose kid. Met a few in my time, but the most memorable has to be Michael Praed and the rest of the cast from "Robin of Sherwood", even spent a couple of days with them (breakfast, lunch and dinner included!).
My Dad was working for the TV company at the time and as I was studying Drama he got me in for a couple of days "study" while they were filming in Northumberland!
Ray Winston was HILARIOUS, and all of the cast were brilliant, had a great time!

Former England manager Graham " turnip head " Taylor turned up at the Wigan Peer Rally one year at Haigh Hall. He is a closet biker! Its true, one of our friends wrote to his football club with a photo enclosed and he sent him a nice letter back confirming it was him and thanking us for a great afternoon he had looking round the bikes and not talking about football for a change. :)

Got called a cheeky fukker by Dave Mustaine of Megadeth a few years ago at a gig in Manchester cos i chained my bike to their tour bus to deter thieves while I was at the gig. :D

He lives up over the Kent Border in Headcorn, always looking rather eccentric!! :D

I was quite lucky in my late teens, as I used to 'hump gear' for loads of bands that visited Bradford.
Among them were Reanimator, Acid Reign, Candlemass and I was good mates with Paradise Lost (cool death metal band from Halifax), went to the same art college as Nick Holmes, the singer.
A weird story about Paradise Lost in particular, when I was sixteen, I worked in this nightclub in Halifax as a glass collector. I got talking to Aaron Aedy about this gig that they were playing at the Queens Hall in Bradford, at this all day thrash festival the day after.
I'd got the night off and I thought i'd go. I just had enough money to catch the train to Bradford and go in to the gig.

When I got there, I saw the place still closed - the week before, Kreator and Raven had played there and the place got trashed!! The powers that be decided that the gig wouldn't start till later. I saw this bloke sat outside who had the same guitar as me (an Axe, really cheap shyte but playable). We got talking about it and said to me 'can you play?' I said 'a bit, yeah, why?' he said 'our guitarist hasn't turned up, do you fancy a gig?'
I ended up playing on the same bill as Aaron and co. First band on (Reject Noise) The look on his face when he saw me on the stage :D
I ended up joining the band proper and recording a demo at the Boiler Rooms in Bradford. I even got into Sounds Magazine!!!!!

I only met a couple....The Queen Mum...I used to live in Catterick Village as a squaddie wife.....The village was lined with people one morning and I aked what was happening and was told the queen mum was going to the garrison and was going to drive through the village...I was not going to stand and watch a car go by.... Took the kids to the river and the park as it was a hot day.... Hours later on our way home we were walking along the main road. Me barefoot two kids walking wearing just their knickers and baby in puchchair zonked out.. saw the outriders and Roller and said to kids "here comes Queen Mum - lets wave." We were in the middle of no-where and as we waved the roller slowed down. Queen mum rolled down the window, said hello. Said it looked as if we had had some fun - I said we had been paddling in the river...she looked a bit wistful and said it must be nice to be able to do things like that... She wished us a good day and drove on....seemed like a nice lady. :)

The other time was a bit cringemaking....I am useless with remembering names and people.....so if I see someone I recognise I always say hello....saves the embarassment of "not talking then are we" ....
A friend had taken me to the boat show in Southampton and as he had just bought a boat we were allowed in the hospitality suite of the boatmaker. I saw someone I recognised and started chatting - how was he, long time since we had met etc....He was chatting away and making smalll talk...chatted for quite a while until my friend dragged me away awestuck...."I didnt know you knew him" he said.. I replied that I could not remember who he was but I had recognised the face so guessed that I knew him.... He said ....It was Rick Parfitt from the Quo........No I didnt know him but all credit to him for chatting to the dopey Tart who thought she did!!!! :D :D

Got asked to leave the toilet at The Marquee Club (Charring Cross Road version - nowhere near as good as Wardour St) by Jon Bon Jovi's minders so that he could come in and use it, Jon obviously needs his privacy. Wouldn't have minded but I was havin' a pi55 at the time. Told 'em he'd have to wait .... well, somethin' like that :D

Met Steve Hackett in The Intrepid Fox - that was in the toilet too.

I HAVE NEVER MET GEORGE MICHAEL !!! in a loo or otherwise :D :D

Loads of musos from various bands, just 'cos I happened to be in the right place (or not) at the time - Phil Mogg from UFO pushed me out the way at the backstage bar at Reading Festival some years ago an' Roger Glover from Deep Purple has been really friendly when I've met him. After gettin' tickets for Rush at the Brighton Conference Centre many years ago I nipped round back to see if I could see Thin Lizzy who were playin' there that night. Phil Lynott leant out a dressin' room window above an' offered the ten or so of us there tickets an' passes for the show - which was nice. Lita Ford, who was charmin' an' lovelly. I met up with King Diamond at Roadrunner Records offices some years ago an' chatted for 1/2 an' hour or so. An' I was taken to a party at Fish's house a little after he'd left Marrillion an' was headin' back to Scotland ..... there's loads more if I think about it, but most of it is passin' an' fairly meaningless - especially to them.

I've not met too many arseholes, which is amazin' really 'cos most of these folks I have met prolly have the propensity to be prima donnas when they wish. But then I've played in bands who are 'never in a million years are they gonna make it' types an' seen far worse tantrums over the most ridiculous things.

Rockstars eh ? :)

Lol...we had a bass player who used to have 'art moods'...serious.The only time I can remember doin' anythin' like that was at a gig in Brynmawr when it looked like we were gonna get snowed in, which meant there was gonna be few or no punters there an' a couple of the guys had whinged on an' on about this. I lost the plot some 'cos "well, it's a gig, ya play it, you're here, you ain't goin' anyplace else. FFS" I recall possibly kickin' a few bits of furniture around an' feelin' very stupid afterwards.

Punters turned up, not many but enuf. A gig was done. The singer swung his mic stand upside down at one point taking out a small chandelier which was rather amusin' an' the drive home in the back of a Luton Transit was bloody cold - but we didn't get snowed in.

I know what you mean.We were at the West Fife MCC's 1st DILAC hat rally,at a pub with a small(ish) hall. The band turned up with more gear than the Beatles used at Shea Stadium and a mixing desk with about 48 channels. As there wasn't much room left for the punters there were more than a few grumbles. We were told by one of the band's 'entourage' that we'd be "lucky to get them next year as they'll be on Top of The Pops!" Most folk stayed outside in the rain as they were ear slittingly loud and, let's face it,a pretty poor Metallica copy.Cut a long story short, after they'd finished myself and a couple other lads (all of us ratarsed) managed to blag the bass,a guitar, amps,PA,mikes and their drummer (the only decent guy amongst them) and jammed away for about 3/4 of an hour until the poor drummer near passed out with exhaustion.By this time the place was packed, and everyone and their dog was having a great time.To be blown off stage by a bunch of drunken arseholes REALLY pissed the band off big style, and toys were most definitely thrown out of the collective pram.Still waiting to see 'em on TOTP! :D :D

Seeing my father-in-law off to south africa in Heathrow, I turned to ask this guy if he could change a £1 coin into 2 £0.50 p's. It was only Prince (purple rain) in his big heels and furcoat. His bouncers just wedged themselves between me and him and said "I Don't think so pal".

Shirley Crabtree (big-daddy) in a pub with me dad, he nearly pulled my ear off!

Col. Johnny Cooper who was a founder member of the SAS, in an English bar/restaurant in Portugal. A friend set up a lunch with him for me and I went to shake Johnny by the hand and he calmly said "no fingers on that hand my boy, lost them all in yemen". A true hero and gentleman!

ooo Jay you just reminded me

I met Alice Cooper when I worked in Burtons in the Metrocentre

he was tiny

buying black skinny polo neck sweaters

he had two enormous bouncers too

well, no-one would have recognised him if it hadn't been for them, very non-descript.......he was happy to talk to us though, and my manager (who was going to see him at Whitley Bay ice rink that night) got his autograph

A mate of mine promotes comedy gigs in the East Midlands.

He arranged for free tickets to the BBC New Comedian of the Year show, being hosted by Toby Foster (of Phoenix Nights fame). Stood at the bar talking to Mr Foster, when a girl comes running up, screaming "Oh my god! Oh my god! You're...."

Toby Foster starts smiling...

"The bass player out of The Beer Monsters!"

She totally blanks Toby Foster. He's NOT happy :)

This probably does not count cause it was not me but.....

My Dad met Adolf Hitler......he even had a pass signed by Hitler....Dad was in Germany when the war broke out. He was coach to the German national team at the time....Hitler asked him to go and see him and offered him a job in the Reich training young people.....(we know what that turned into -dont we...) Dad was polite and said he would think about it...he contacted some people in the Underground movement and was smuggled into Holland and got back to England.

When I asked dad what Hitler was like he said very charismatic, likeable and VERY VERY SCARY.......

Got told to shut up by tv nobhead Steve Berry

Dislike him with a passion

He tried it on with me at the Magna Carta a couple of years back. My then other half thought it was hilarious.

My MAG group got him so rat-arsed he ended up sleeping underneath one of the trader's tarpaulins after running away from the paramedics. In the morning he had to borrow money from the paramedics to get a taxi back to his hotel. It was a good six months before he returned the money.

Other peeps I've met/know include:

Duran Duran
Depeche Mode
Paul Young
Sinead O'Connor
Irish Singer Christy Moore
Chris Rea
Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet)
Tony Slattery (actor/comedian)
Josie Lawrence (actress/comedienne)

If he was dressed all in black with small wire-rimmed sunglasses on then you met the "infamous" RAZZ - who appears to be the most famous person from that pub (even more famous than Martin Brunnschweiler (who owned the pub)) :D

I met Princess Anne at a Save the Children do - we were selling cakes and recipes and talking to her it was obvious she does actually get in the kitchen and do some cooking - but only in the winter, she said, cos she's too busy in the summer (I think at the time she was statistically the hardest-working royal)

Met Fergie (duchess one not football one) and Andy just after their engagement was announced when they did their first public appearance together at a charity show I was singing in - he was obviously bored but she was good fun.

Met John Major when I was doing some work for the party conference one year - he couldn't even be bothered to pretend to be interested in the work we were doing for him, but his wife was a nice lady.

Met Neil Hodgson at the NEC and got his autograph cos he was there - I don't collect autographs but he offered so it would have been rude....

Met various WSB racers at Brands a few years ago, can't remember their names except Reuben Xaus who never said anything without asking his father first! Met quite a few other famous names in WSB that night but was too drunk to remember any more of them except the boss of one of the tyre companies who was a great dancer!

Can't think of many right now.

I shared a lift with Rory Bremner once, and gave Frank Skinner directions from Great Portland Street, both times chatting with them whilst doing the "pretending I don't know who you are" thing. Frank Skinner is tiny, really really weedy. I was suitably surprised.

I was once drinking in Andy Fordham's pub in Woolwich when he became enamoured of my t-shirt (which said "Some people are only alive because it is against the law to shoot them" or words to that effect), so I said he could have it (doubt if it would have fitted, LOL). Luckily I had a spare t-shirt with me at the time :D

And I gave Lord Linley the fingers once cos he cut me up on his Harley coming out of Warrs.

I've met Sonny Barger, too, on two occasions, but I was too shy to engage him in conversation *grin* Typical hk behaviour in such company

My ex-husband decorated the houses of several famous people whilst I was married to him - including Dirty Den (who apparently is quite a nice bloke, but his wife is a bitch). He also says that Trevor McDonald is "up himself" but that Peter Snow is very eccentric but charming (no surprise there, then, LOL).

There's prolly loads over all the years of living in London, but I forget. They're not that important, cos they are only famous, after all. They take a dump just like the rest of us *shrug*

Blue

Forgive my ignorance, but who's Andy Fordham?

hellkat
17-02-2005, 01:35 PM
He is a very fat person who plays darts quite well, going by the name of The Viking, I believe. His wife's name, confusingly for mutual friends of ours, is Jenny, LOL, causing them some consternation when notification was given to said mutual friends that "Andy and Jenny have got married". Thankfully, I set them on the correct path of enlightenment that it was Mr and Mrs Fordham, and not myself and The Gummy One.

Currently Mr Fordham is being seen on the telly dropping considerable amounts of weight on Celebrity Fit Club.

Chris Bonnington- climber etc. Seemed like he was stoned but he was real friendly and we had a good laugh.

Chris Walker-World Super Bike Racer. One of the friendliest blokes out there. Especially when he was in BSB.
Ben Bostrom- Crap super bike rider, i actually ran into his bike.
Aaron Slight- Super Bike racer, met him just before he had his brain tumour removed. Top bloke.
Niall McKenzie- Superbike racer etc etc. Brilliant bloke with great sense of humour.
Alan Bleasdale- Big loud mouthed nut case. yes, he is in real life to.
Alan Hinkes- Top climber, one of only 14 or so blokes to do all the 8000 plus metre peaks in the world. Top bloke, funny and he even scrounged a cuppa off me.
Neil Hodgson- Super bike racer. Nice bloke but quiet.
David jeffries R.I.P- Met him at supermoto races at Donnington. nice to meet a bike racer who was nearly as big as me.
Steve Hislop R.I.P- Super bike racer etc. Nice bloke but quiet and very serious.
Ian Stewart (lead singer of Skrewdriver) R.I.P- Was a nice bloke believe it or not. bloody good band to.
John Bonham (Drummer in Led Zep)- I was only a young lad. Me dad knew him. Said he was one of the most boring farts to have a pint with he'd ever met.
Sammy Lee (Liverpool football player back in late 70's, early 80's???)- Met him at a school footie do.

I got home a bit late one night, and my ex says to me in a somewhat slurred voice...

"You know Steve over the pub, he used to be in Deep Purple.."

WTF?

About three months later, it turns out that one of the guys I drink with in my local is Paul Dianno who used to be the lead singer with Iron Maiden.

So, not called Steve, and never been in Deep Purple then.

Last time anyone checked, Sharon Davies still remembers me......

Spoke to James Hewitt once. Made a suggestion involving sex and travel, but that was at school.

But the one that sticks in the my mind?

When I was at junior school I used to get quite a lot of stick over not being interested in football. My mum's friend's husband, Bobby, gave me a box of stuff to take to school.

Instant popularity.

Turned out he was the captain of Bristol City......

My cousins (who were into trials riding, one went on to ride for Wolverhampton Wolves Speedway) introduced me to Dougie Lampkin
My late cousin, Kenny Carter was pretty famous as a Speedway rider in the early 80's

Too right :D

There's quite a lot of in-jokes with the witchcraft community in his books. We believe he's seeing it from the inside.

He's pretty cool. I think 'A Hat Full of Sky' (the sequel to Wee Free Men) is better than the first

When I was about 10, me eldest bruv was a 'novice' road racer. Ran a TD125 and got sponsership from Bob Heath Visors. (remember them?)
Anyway, one meet at Oulton Park, we had a paddock unit near Barry Sheene, Steve Parrish and Mick Grant.
Sheene was me Dad's hero, so he takes John over to meet him. Barry was the perfect gentleman. Telling John the best race lines to take on what corners, gave him loads of tips and bits of advice.
Seemed Sheene and Mick Grant never got on, and when Grant came over to put his oar in, Barry told him politely to 'fukk off!'.........Remember that well.
Grant was looking at John's road helmet, which had an almost black visor, given to him of course, by his sponsor company. Grant was telling my Dad how he was starting a campaign to ban dark/black visors for road use. Me Dad went fukkin' mad......... Considering Grant was using one on the track, and even tho me Dad knew track racing was different to road riding, he still got the hump.
Sheene was loving it. Then along comes Steve Parrish. A great mate of Sheene, to see what the commotion was. Me Dad is still going off at Grant, so Sheene and Parrish both tell Grant to 'piss off and annoy someone else'..............
Me bruv went on to win the novice trophy that year, and he has a pic of him, Sheene, me Dad and Parrish with his trophy. My bruvs prized possesion........
Anyway, years later, (2004) I am working as a courier for City Link, and had a delivery to one Mr S Parrish. 'Can't be' I thought.
But yes it was! Turned up with a huge box of engine bits for his racing truck!
Sheene had only just passed I think, and I asked Steve if he remmebered the argument years before with Grant and a novice's mechanic.
'Oh yeah' he says. 'Mick was never very popular in the pits!'
Told Steve who I was, and he was gobsmaked. Bloody nice bloke Steve Parrish.
Delivered to him loads when I was on the road, and he even offered to have his pic taken with Howee next to his truck.
I did take Howee to his house once, but Steve was in Oz visiting Steph (Sheene's widow - sultry bitch as I remember!) and Steve's wife said she would tell Steve I had been, and when he returned from Oz I could take Howee round there for the pic shoot.
But I never got the chance to return as I left City Link........
Steve has moved now anyway, to an even bigger house somewhere in the Cotswolds I think. Bloody nice geezer Mr Steve Parrish. And some good memories of the pits days with the 'big boys'.

Oh and when I was really young, we went to Skeggy, and Norman Wisdom was doing the show on the pier. Me mother insisted on a family pic with him. Me mother looked the miserable cnut she is! But me Dad, Norman and us kids all pulled funny faces. Was a great pic as I remember. But she has the pic, and I aint contacting her for it. Not even for you lot!.........

Sheene was me Dad's hero, so he takes John over to meet him. Barry was the perfect gentleman.

Seconded. Tef, a good friend of mine, used to do clubman racing. His hero had always been Barry Sheene, he had the No 7 helmet, and was delighted when he found Sheene was going be at a meeting that featured a round of his championship (albeit low down the bill!). Barry was signing autographs in the morning and Tef got his programme signed and asked if he could please have his photo taken with the great man. Barry said yes, but there was a queue of people so could they do it later. Tef thought that was that, he was more than chuffed with just meeting him anyway and forgot about it.

A few hours later Tef was lining up to go out for his race when a figure came trotting into the pits, saying 'Hang on a sec, I promised this man a photo!'. Not only had Barry Sheene remembered (and bear in mind there were thousands of people there, most of whom wanted to meet him), but he'd made the effort to come and find Tef so he could get his picture. To Tef, Barry Sheene had been his hero. After that, he was a god! :)

the best encounter though was spending a night getting totally razzed on guiness in the spread eagle in margate with bob calvert. thoroughly nice bloke, and great company. good to find out one of your heroes isn´t a tosser. :)
after the pub shut, we went to a mates place and had a few smokes, and at about 1 in the morning he left walking back to ramsgate.

Honestly? Met some well known people, but couldn't care about it all. An actor or 3, some musicians, even went to school with a person who is (now) a world acclaimed operatic soprano (and she is such a great person).

As to the "famous?" I couldn't care, they are just people. I have met some great people though, Gen. Colin Powell (an AMAZING public speaker, and a person who grew up in the ghetto to become a world power), Gen. Swartzkopf and have worked with some (now) high ranking military officials.

If it were some famous scientists who revolutionised this or that, or someone who benifitted the world for something they did, it would be different, but being able to play a game, act or play an instrument is a talent, but nothing worldshattering.

My thoughts anyway

Got very drunk with Lee thompson from Madness one night in the pub I used to work in. Served George Melly, Trevor & Simon, Lou Beal off Eastenders, Mervyn Hayes, & Barney from Napalm Death When I worked for London Transport & played 5 a side football inside the Bull & Gate with the original line up of Zodiac Mindwarp & the Love Reaction

"sorry fella, I don't smoke" But I just saw you light that ciggie! I took a draw an said "what fag?"

Eventually he got the hint I was being an arse an buggeres off. The missus came outside an asked me if I had a barney with one of em, I said yes and she said " I thopught it was you when he described you, he called you a tosser"

Oh I also forgot I had a race with Spider from Corrie up the M42. i was in a D plate 1300 astra an he was in a 7 series BMW.

Chris Tarrant when I was 10 and well into Tizwas,

This is sort of second-hand but in the 70s my dad sold a brand new state of the art new fangled digital watch to Chris Tarrant. Then Chris phoned me dad up in the middle of the night and asked how to switch the annoying tune off. :D

John Newbold (RIP Died Northwest 200 in the 80s) lived across a field from where my hubby lived and he used to go 'help' with the bikes. He assures me he's also had a pint with Slade (just the one?).

I've been in the Times (gaming stuff), on Channel 4 (erm... unmentionable) and Derbyshire Times (5th generation still alive).

I've made Robbie Williams' Tiger Pants (Rock DJ Vid). So I've had my hands in Robbie's pants :D I also did security at his gig at Old Trafford... but never met him.

Hubby did some film stuff Chow Yung Fat (I hope I got that right). Michael Flatley, Jackie Chan's 'sister' in Shanghai Knights, the King's cloak in Just Visiting (Jean Reno starred), the kids film Little Vampire and Spice Girls... but that's about the closest we've got.

Just remembered, I met Ian Mercer - Gary Mallett from Coronation Street when he did panto at the theatre next door to the club I worked in. He was really observant, it took him 2 weeks to pluck up courage to talk to me, then all he said as he staggered off to the loos was "You've got... freckles" *sigh* Yes I have

I've also met Angry Anderson (he's tiny!!!!! (Smaller than Dio possobly)but I wouldn't want to tell him that to his face)

& Japan football teams coach Zico, met him when he was still playing for Brazil & got his autograph (I was only about 12 or 13)
It was Michael.I heard the had a huge falling out & haven't spoken to each other for years.

You forgot that arsehole Lewis Colins!! :D

I forgot about that:D When I lived in London I went to the same karate class as Lewis Collins (The Professionals). What a twat he was, so full of himself. He let a big heavy door go in my face one time knocking me to the floor and never even bothered to ask if I was ok just ponced off down the corridor without a second thought as I lay on the ground even though he saw what happened. I was boiling with rage!!!
He never used to talk to the plebs and had his nose in a sling the whole time i was there LEWIS COLLINS IF YOU ARE READING THIS YOU ARE A TWAT!

Lemmy, Ozzy, Brian Robertson, Fish, and some bloke called Dumpy... at Monsters of Rock 1985 (blagged an Access All Areas pass that year)...

...All of Saxon, Hawkwind, & Magnum at Rock & Blues 1995 (was working stage crew and got the job of checking 'em all in on the gate)...

... Slingshot had just finished playing our set at Magna Carta 2003, finishing with 'Delilah'... the drummer from the next band (Peat Loaf) came up to us and said 'Nice One Lads' - who turned out to be none other than Ted McKenna, drummer from The Sensational Alex Harvey Band (who did the rock version on 'Delilah' in the first place)...

... The Queen and Phil The Greek were in my laboratory one time (don't ask) ...

Nearly ran over dopey tw8ts jaywalking in Cambridge who turned out to be Clive James (once) and Rory McGrath (lots of times, it's an official Cambridge sport) :D

Pardon my shocking ignorance, but WHO HE?
James Stannage was a late-night presenter on Piccadilly Radio and he was as funny as feck. He kept getting sacked for swearing on air and cutting people off on his phone-in show.

Philthy Animal nearly broke his leg tripping over my wheelchair when he came out of the bog when Motorhead played Spennymoor recreation centre a good few years back. On the same night, Lemmy patted the shoulder of my old leather, 'full mental jacket'
At the Riverside in Newcastle, i asked this fat bloke in front of me if he could scuse out of the way so i could get me chair past. He turned round and it was Ian Gillan! Top bloke :)
