Going through town they tend to set off the car alarms.:thumbsu:

Ditto.
When I start mine, all the dogs in the street start barking.
And mine have baffles in.....:D
Never had a problem at MOT time though, neither with the VTR with open Microns....

No specific regulation exists for trike exhaust MOT. Its down to tester discretion whether it sounds louder than anything else in its class.
Since most trikes are in a class of their own, you should be fine!

Thanks for that,I'll just have to see how much my ears bleed, that'll tell me if I need baffles...

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure the rules are the same as they were a while ago, that a trike must be fitted with the original exhaust when the vehicle was built i.e. whatever you put on it - I run straight through pipes and haven't had a problem in 15 years

Bike instructers got it spot on. Just made my friendly mot man show me ! lol :D
He said " I'm not deaf but who is to say what is standard on a one off trike". He would have been happy to pass my trike with the straight through Dunstall reps.
