my exhaust on the reliant trike has snapped right at the manifold , i have a welder (mig ) what gas and wire do i need to use , what settings ,any help realy , also any idears where i can get an exhaust in lancashire cheers dave

providing it's a mild steel exhaust. then use mild steel wire 0.6mm guage, with a matching tip. most migs have a drive wheel with two grooves in it. 0.6 and 0.8mm.
ensure the 0.6mm goove is the one the wire is running through.
any of the commonly available welding gases will be ok. except for pure argon.
co2 as used in pubs is fine but won't give you the neastest of welds.
if your using those tiny disposable bottles then the best bet would be a 80/20 or even 95/5 mix of co2 and argon.

i'm afraid settings vary depending on the power of the machine and the make :)
