Hey guys!

I'm in the process of finishing off my V65 trike... I'm getting to the 'annoying twiddly bits stage' and have realised that I need something to take the spinney-roundey action of the front wheel and display it on the nice 'n' shiney display on the dash.

Now, the speedo drive is from an old 750/4 SOHC and the speedo itself is from one of them, there, Hardley Driveable things, mounted in a set of fatbobs.

I've gotta assume that I'm not the first person in the world to try to do this... So my question is:

is there a 'known' place that does this kind of thing? A kind of preferred supplier if you will - Who won't look at me as if I'm a right nubbin if I say something like 'Ho, stout yeoman maketh me a cable that has a Honda fitting at one end and a Harley fitting upon yon t'other'?

P.S. From what I can remember Honda speedo drives are 2:1 and HD do a selection of both 2:1 & 1:1 ratios - Anyone know if there's a way of telling which one I've got.

P.P.S. Yes, I know it would be easier to fit a pushbike speedo - But I've got six an' a half weeks to finish the damn thing, so I thought I'd make it difficult for myself.

I don't think that the Harley and Honda speedos will be calibrated the same. Even if the cable fits it may not give the right speed. there are far to many variables.
