Paint Overspray

Despite talking care to mask off tank etc when touching up frame I have ended up with some overspray - What is the easiest way to safely remove as much as possible

white spirit on a cloth, if the overspray hasn't stuck.
safe cut will also get it off

Depends on what type of paint it is. If its 2 pack then probably best to try and t-cut it out. If its halfords paint then petrol will get it off so long as the tank is painted in sturdier stuff.
