What music do you like waking up to?
Of coarse it will depend on what mood your in.
Myself, if i am in a nice laid back mood at bit of clannad or laguna sunrise by sabbath.
If i need to get up and go then it has to be AC/DC but the proper stuff with Bon Scot (RIP) not the crap since he died.
If i am in a b-stard mood then it can only be Zodiac Mindwarp.
I am in a good mood at the moment and am listening to the sisters of mercy, god i need to get on the trike and thrash around the roads!

ok Hmmm
start of in order of preference

For a relaxing start
Clannad, Enya, Dido, or Scandalous by Prince

for a perky morning would have to be
Meatloaf 'I would do anything for love' or Tenecious D 'Tribute'

and for all out Morning Blast
Baby Got Back (sir mix-a-lot) or any Hardcore rap song

YO Yo Yo Yoda Out

oh dear, I hate waking up, no music would make me wake up, just make me want to lie there for longer

so I'm afraid it's the news for the traffic reports for me in the morning

and on my hour long journey to work I like to listen to Terry Wogan on Radio 2 because he's funny without being manic and he does provide good company, music is ok, gentle soft american rock and stuff

he has a good sense of humour too, very witty lol

:D

I got well and truely caught out the other morning, I had about 300 miles of motorway ahead of me and the missus was asleep in the sidecar, I turned off the intercom so she couldn't hear me or the music and wound the CD player up full blast in my headset. I was quite happy jigging about and singing along at the top of my voice to Meatloaf, not realising that the missus had woken up and had tears running down her face with laughter at my antics.

Still it broke the monotony of the journey, good roads them French motorways but very boring.

This week its been Ska/2 tone in the van on the way to work but some of the nu metal bands are good for a bright morning (eg. Lost Phrophets)
On a bad day then its Terry Wogan cos he can always make me smile with his inane banter.
When stuck in traffic or getting stressed by other drivers its Classic FM, very relaxing, or Pure Chillout Vol. 1

Air - and their album Moon Safari!

heard it all the way through for the first time, while outside this stall at the Drink Drop & Doss last September. Cool stuff, now got it in the car, so I cruise home from work if i've had a arduous day (like today!!).

If I fancy something different: Love, Death and the Lady by Shirley & Dolly Collins (from about 1973). It's Death Folk!! Not kidding!!!!!! nice folksie songs about guys who kill their girl because she's up stick etc. (obviously really old songs)

I like to wake up to some good old religious music in the morning, Paul Mitchell and his rendition of "Hallelulah for Satan, Satan Hallelujah" is a good rousing tune.
If I'm feeling mellow it's Air who are my fave of the moment.

A few years ago I went skiing in the French Alps and took a tape machine and every mornin' I woke up to Freddy Mercury singin' "It's a beautiful day .... "

That was pretty special 'cos we'd leave the curtains open and as you opened yer eyes the view was spectacular.

Dont worry FT its a fairly modern thing with sounds coming out of electrical thingys called radios and stuff like that. You wouldn't understand.

My clock radio wakes me every morning, (the git!)
So I don't really get a choice, Just whatever Wogan is playing,
Although if it's pretty cr@p I do hit the snooze,
and hope when it sounds again it's something better,
Although if it's something bad again I can end up being late,
That snooze button is sooooo temptin, any excuse to hit it.
BUT, whatever do's wake me in the end, good or bad, I find I'm humming all day!!!
Luckily, The Who with "The Kids are alright" woke me this morning :D
The worst is when you get summit like Celine Dion, Aaagh!!

Yeah...so's I can burn it!!! Funnily enough me and Mitch were out looking to purchase a shiny new blowtorch yesterday (for weed killing purposes). Every single shop in Seaford and Eastbourne has run out......I find this rather disturbing, why has there been a run on blowtorches lately, why has a whole seaside town run out of them? Disturbing but true!

Latest offerings in my stereo are - Lost Prophets , Zutans, Jet , Maroon 5 and Rasmus.
If all else fails , it's a bit of Storm Radio or Kerrang Radio.
