Are there any other models that use the same cv carbs as a late 70s Yam xs1100 ?
Was thinking maybe fj1100 or something like that .
Mate got the bike cheap but the carb diaphrams are shot and the rest of the carbs aint looking too clever so don't want to spend loads on new diaphrams and not be able to use them anyway

Had FJ carbs on my old XS1100 trike, make sure you buy some super glue for your arse hole.................. you will need it!:D:thumbsu:

Don't think superglue will be required as this guys such a tight arse you couldn't hammer a darning needle up it :D
I would say it will end up like every other project he has ever bought ie stuck in the corner or left where you have to move it every time i need to get near my trike :(
I thought i could remember fitting fj carbs to a xs but wasn't sure as its 20yrs since i worked as a mechanic in a breakers

FJ11, FJ1200 and XJR1200, XJR1300, you may have to fit new rubbers as well

I was working on the assumption that all those listed above would probably fit as they are dirivatives of the same motor i think

we fitted fj12 carbs to my mates xs1100 sidecar outfit. oddly they had the dual effect of making it both quicker and better on fuel!!! they fitted straight on with no mods at all, and we were using the stock xs11 airbox too.
